Default Should I have an LSD installed at purchase?

Hey everybody,

On mon or tues of this week I'm going to buy an 06 base model Z from perf Nissan. They built this car up with a bunch of cool Nismo parts....exaust, coilovers, 19" rims and more.

My concern is the lack of an LSD on the base model.
My question is, should I go ahead and have them install the Nismo LSD?

I am more concerned with handling than with HP (the 06 has enough of that for me) and I just want to know what you all think about the difference an LSD makes and if it's worth the install. If it is, I would like to have it's cost included in the purchase price, so please try to respond ASAP
(like i said, I'm gonna buy it this week)

well of course YES
without LSD you cant put the power down to the ground
and whats the point of having all that cool nismo stuff and extra hp (hopefully) and not beable to put the power down?
and as a plus LSD gives you the leverage to do donuts and power slides!

THANKS!

all the LSD posts i have read mostly talk about the difference between LSD and open Diff...they relly don't talk about how much of a performance difference there is.

I'm feeling a call to PerfNisaan comming on...any other comments or advice?

I guess it depends on what you plan on doing with your Z. an LSD is def a great feature to have and I'm contemplating getting one. however being that you live in cali (no snow or rain typically), unless you plan on doing any type of racing I wouldn't call it an essential item. but if you do plan on doing any form of racing I'd def look into having them install it.

the nismo diff is going to handle more power compared to stock diff and if you were going to do the job to install the diff, why not get gears too?
gears - 3.9final drive gears = greater acceleration (0-60)

like i said in the original post..."They built this car up with a bunch of cool Nismo parts....exaust, coilovers, 19" rims and more"

this is a perfnissan show car...they already tricked it out with a bunch of Nismo stuff...it has most of what i had planned to do to the car already installed. There are only 4 things that I feel the car is lacking...

1. LSD
2. cold air intake
3. better stereo
4. Leather seats (I GUESSS I can live without them)

I really don't like the idea of spending gobs of cash later. i just want the car built to run strong and have it ALL under one payment. Maybe I should change my login to "turnkey"
