Default Got it but why is the Clutch so bad?

I finally got her! After waiting 10 weeks, I went down to Illinois to pick it up. It's a Daytona Blue Grand Touring 2006 coupe. I love it but was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with such a high engagement point on the clutch? I love the car but the clutch is so tricky. How long did it take for you guys to learn how to adjust? Thanks fellas.

Personally...I love the high engagement clutch. Bearly push and you can shift. No need for full leg extensions. Took me be a few weeks to get used to it. I am no master shifter by any means though.

I have had mine for 3 weeks now. I am still getting used to the high engagement also. It will come in time.

Sometimes I feel like Im driving stick for the first time when I drive my other car and let the z sit for a couple of days, then go back to driving it. The difference in clutch engagement is night and day.

Wow - I thought I was the only one having this problem - the clutch on my last car (RSX) was soooo different.

At least i know it's not just me.

The clutch definitely has a steep learning curve. This is my 3rd car (all different manufacturers) with manual trans and by far the most challenging clutch to master.

Belated congrats on the new ride!

I've had it for a year and a half, and after driving my girlfriend's rsx type-s, I still feel like a new driver

well...the high clutch engagement is hard at first, but soon you're 2-3 and 3-4 shifts will be blazing fast cuz of it!

Good choice!

Check these for clutch adjustments (don't overdo it)
