Hey Scott, Congratulations! I'm sure you will be very happy with your new Z. I know I am. You mentioned you wanted to see Z's with rims, do a search "awesome on 18's" and you will see a different variety of rims out there. If you are looking to get a good price on rims check out AutoRnD.com I just ordered Enkei RPF1's last night and they gave me an incredible deal. I can't say how much they gave them to me for but it was way below any other offers locally in NY and online. Ask for either Josh or Rishie they should definitely hook you up with good prices. They were also very informative about all the offset combinations and how they would look, whether the wheels would be flush or if a particular offset would make the rim look concave or not. They are also very knowledgable about the forging and casting technologies that different companies use. I would give them a call and see what they can offer you, thats what i did and i ended up getting a unbelievable deal. It never hurts to ask.

Happy Motoring!

Maurice

Thanks guys!

Yeah, the car is PPW....I am surprised how sporty that white looks....
I got the car a couple days ago from a local dealer.....It is a 2005 base 6spd with only 5700 miles!! Unfortunetley I noticed a couple dings/dents on the front driverside fender pannel. (the rest of the car is flawless) I took it back today to see what they could do and the MGR said that painting it would ruin it...and that he would take that peice off and try to get them out by buffing etc......so he will call me tomorrow to come see it.....I was sooo bummed because the car was perfect in everyway other then that.

Even if they cant get it out 100% I still might keep it because I think it was a good deal and the dent is not that noticable. Does $23.9 sound like a good deal? A new 2006 base would cost close to $28k right?

When I get it back I will be on the wheel mission for sure!

Thanks again for the feedback.

picking the wrong wheels can sometimes lead to the use of a flamesuit

Joeun,

I actually got the car from Lawrence Marshall on 610@kirby. Saw it in the paper last weekend and had to go by and check it out. It should be ready tomorrow. Hopefully it will look great!

What do you have? Where in Houston are you?

23.9 sounds like a good deal, you did check kbb.com first right? that will tell you exactly how much the car is worth. I got my Z from a dealer for 3K under retail so I knew where I stood on that. PPW is so clean looking, good luck finding the right wheels.

ZBIG,

Private Party was around $23,100, Retail was around $24,900 and Trade in was around $20,800

With only 5700 miles It is practically new....So I figured $1000 under retail wasnt bad....To buy a brand new 2006 would be around $28k I assume.....so thats $4k more then I paid.

I have a black '04 base MT. I'm in the Galleria area. My friend has a PPW and he just got some Volk GT-C's in gunmetal put on. It looks hot!! Expensive though, but worth IMO. If you already haven't, check the regional section under Texas here on my350z.com and you will see there will be a drive to Galveston and local car meets pop up almost every month. Great way to see what type of goodies you want to put on your car, and meet other car enthusiasts. I might do the run to Galveston.
