My new Z!! Let the fun begin....
I went by the dealsership today in Houston and purchased my brand new 2006 PPW BASE. After debating between the base/enthusiast model for months I decided the base was fine for me.
I am having the Aero kit installed and the windows tinted (legal limit) at the dealership and will pick it up tomorrow. My next project will be to add aftermarket wheels/tires (19")....Hopefully do some research and find the perfect wheels sometime this summer.
Any other PPW owners have any simple mod suggestions?
I will post pictures hopefully this weekend.

Thanks Bubble. There are only 5 million wheel options...I know I want something simple (maybe 5 spoke), silver finish in 19".....
How much does an intake help? What is the best for our car?
Thanks for the info

I would also add the ISO thermal Plenum spacer which comes with a control valve to adjust your plenum temp.
If you go with 3/8" versus 1/2" you can maintain your strut bar and you may only be giving up 1 horsepower.
The Plenum spacer and pop charger should net you about 25 extra rwhp.
Good Luck.

Honestly I debated for months between the base and the enthusiast......It was about a $1600 difference.....I went through the differences (Cruise control/audio controls on the wheel), aluminum pedals and the LSD. The first 2 things were NO factor at all since I have NEVER used cruise control on any of my cars and reaching over 9 inches to the CD player to change the station/volume would be about the only cardio workout I have been getting lately..........The LSD seemed like a good feature to have but considering I do not plan on racing the car, I wont drive in the rain that often and I dont think it has ever snowed in Houston it was not worth the extra $$.......Even though the $1600 difference was only about $30/month more (after spending $550/month) I just couldnt justify it and thought I would be just as happy with the base. Also, I couldnt find a white enthusiast within 200 miles of Houston.
I have 70 miles on the car and very excited about driving it......I take it to the dealership next week to get the tint (legal limit max) and the rear spoiler put on......I will probably add 19" wheels within the next few months. (any ideas??)
I will post pictures asap. (friend is borrowing my digital now).

well.. in my case, from the quotes ive gotten, the enthusiast is only $1000 more than the base.. and i live in cali.. no snow, just rain.. but even on dry pavement, idiots cut you off and do stupid things.. which calls for quick emergeny lane changes/swerves.. you never know when the tail gives out on the car.. dont put a price on safety.

I actually did look in San Antonio and Dallas. There were a couple of enthusiast 6spds but not in white. People talk like you are in great danger driving a base model....I will not race this car and dont forsee this being a problem. Do you think Nissan would manufacter a car that was unsafe?? The base model is no more unsafe then half the cars out there on the road. Sure having the LSD is a nice feature but for me and how I plan on driving my car it didnt seem to warrant the extra $$. (besides the fact I couldnt find it in white anyway).
BTW, I was quoted $25,900 for the base and $27,400 for the enthusiast. ($1500 difference) I paid another $350 for the rear spoiler and they through in the tint. I was out the door slightly over $28k. I am extremely happy with my purchase and know I will enjoy this car.

and 5-6 for the pop charger.
It may have been more correct to say up to 25 horses possible.
