06 GT Roadster triple black
Bought my son's car today. Pick it tonight. But he's 15 so he can't drive it for 6 months. So guess who's going to drive for the summer!

Hello everyone.........
no teenager let alone 15-16 year old should be allowed to drive a 300+ bhp car. Kids a this age think they're indestructible. Considering it only takes a moderate foot on the gas to get up to 100 mph, it's not a good combo with a novice driver. Slap on the fact that its rear wheel .... I think i'll stop ... there's no point. If you wanted to get him a fairly expensive nice first car why not a volvo or some other sedan ... atleast then everyone around him would be a lot safer.
atleast put a loud-a$$ siren on his car so we know when he's aproaching, and have time to get the he!! out of the way.

He'll be 16 in 6 months, then he gets his permit and can't drive alone until he's 17 in NJ. He will be driving with me or his mother for a year.
I know my kid. If I thought he was not going to be resonsible, I wouldn't have bought it! I've been through this before with an older son who I bought a Mustang GT. Not every kid wants to race, but ust wants the muscle.

About a month after I started driving solo, I discovered (accidentally) drifting and kept it up for a few years. My parents only wondered why I went through tires so fast...
10 years later, I'm just now starting to appreciate VDC
Congratulations to you, I hope you and your son have a blast in the car!
Your son should be fine, I work for a dealership and was driving Vette's, 911's, Boxster's etc at 16-17. As long as you stay within your limits and respect the machine you'll be fine.
