Buying an 2006 Z.... what color should I get?
Initially I was looking for the following color choice in order for preference:
1st choice: Silverstone or Red
2nd Choice: Black
I recently saw an 2006 Blue 350Z Enthusiast model which seems to be in great shape... never considered Blue but it may grow on me...
Just wanted to get some Z owners opinions on the color Blue for a 350Z coupe...

This is a personal preference. Every owner is going to say that their color is the best.
My money is on davidv bringing in his chart with how many Z's were sold for each color.
And to answer your question...Daytona blue is an awesome color

I think this is a tough questions for you to answer, once you get it your stuck with it, unless you repaint. I just bought mine and kicked around the idea for quite awhile, I narrowed it down by looking through the site and what I saw on the street then made my choice. I am happy with it.
they dont make yellow for 06 anymore
i chose magnetic black but really really wanted a red one(couldnt find one)....you dont see to many redlineson the road so be different and get redline

If you want to go with the crowd, go silver. About half of all 350Zs are silver.
Well you can drive yourself nuts trying to decide so you should just pic your favorite color not your fav Z color that way you won't regret it later. The thing is all the Z colors are awesome!
If you go with black, be prepared to spend a lot of time washing, waxing and getting angry when you see light scratches and swirl marks. For the 5% of time right after you wax, you'll swear you bought the sexiest color, but for that other 95% you'll be wishing you bought silver.
for me that 5% still wins though

Redlines attract COPS, I have learned this the hard way. I never considered a red car but when the dealership offered a sweet deal I was swooned. The excitement was overwhelming! I missed a scratch initially that was present on the passenger door which was eventually repaired at dealers expense.
Redlines have swirls which have been an everending challenge to get rid of including the use of zaino 5, and meguire products.
On the other hand after a wash with z7, claybar, and z6,z5,z6,z5, and in the evening (when the swirls are not noticed) she's a beauty!
