Street racers are Idiots who deserve all that is brought upon them.

You've never street raced EVER? You've never gone up to triple digits on a public highway?

Honestly.

He made a mistake, chances are he is now going to have problems for the rest of his life because of this accident.

He ****ed up and now he is. But dont act like you have never done it. You may not on a regular basis or anymore, but chances are at one point in time you excessively sped at a time when it was not needed, or street raced.

I can honestly say No to street racing and yes I have gone over 100 on a public street.

I went 107 alone, on a freeway straight away, at 1 in the morning, with no vehicle in sight, when I was 16.

I am now 21 and haven't since due to the fact that I want a happy and successful life and a career that has certain restrictions (I.E. Felonies)

I have never and will never street race. (sadly, I haven't brought my Z past 85 , I need to go to a track soon.)

i love the people that pull this card to justify it....as if everyone street races just because they own a sports car.

sorry, it may be common amongst our group but it deosnt mean its a given that everyone does. Its a risk not everyone is willing to take.

It's not justifying anything. It is there to simply prove that people are being hypocritical. **** happens.

no, you are justifying it, implying that everyone has done it at some point and it just wasnt this kids day.

sorry, I dont buy it. He put himself in that situation. You gotta pay to play.

Some of us aren't willing to risk that much. No holier than thou attitude here. I have fun with the car when i can, but dont tell me I should feel sympathetic or be able to relate because "everyone has done it" when in fact NO they havent.

Angry Wtf!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It sickens me to read this thread, no human-being should be treated like this ever....especially now, the guy is in a coma and cant even defend himself and might even die. it makes me hate these forums because of how cold and heartless people are on them. yes...shouldnt be street racing, but **** happens.

**** happens a hell of a lot more often to people who make it happen. Ever notice that?

I'm sorry for the guy, but truthfully, more sorry for his parents. He's not in a state where he's aware of what's going on, apparently, and they are living with it every single day. Probably because I'm closer in age to his parents, I can only imagine how agonizing it must be to see their son in such a state. They must be second-guessing themselves on a lot of things.

Yeh, I've done triple-digits on a public highway with no traffic around and in good weather conditions. I can _honestly_ say I've never raced through a residential area before...ever. Too much horsepower for a young guy unless they have track experience and know what they're dealing with.

I hope he pulls through. Maybe he'd be a good motivational speaker, talking about this at high schools.

If he's been in a coma for two months, sadly, I don't think he's ever going to function well enough for public speaking.

I suppose miracles can happen, but it's not likely. He has youth and resilience going for him, but two months without regaining full consciousness is not a good sign.

Does anyone know for a fact what's happened to him? I think JoeAsian was in touch with the girlfriend, wasn't he?

I don't really know about his parents....I don't hear about them....i don't think they're around...he lives with his grandma or grandparents...he bought the car on his own...the day before he bought my car, he came into the dealership to buy a car for his girlfriend, that's when he saw my car...well, he bought the car for her and he came back the next day to buy my Z for himself....
