Smile soon to be

purchasing either a 04 touring or a 06 Base Z. Hopefully the one i choose im happy with but i have a question

are the 03-05 body the same as the 06?

Reason im asking is cause i layed out a list of stuff i plan on doing and one is a front lip.

what im lookin at

BTW, the bumper design is different on the 03-05 to the 06-07 so the lips are not going to be good for both.

is that basically the only difference? 1 question would the better choice be the 04 touring than a 06 base?? Im assuming thats the only difference is the front bumpers.

The grill is different and the front side markers are more vertical in the '06 and indented differently. The lights, of course, are really different. I'd pay $1000 more in an eye blink for the '06 headlights and tail lights, but I drive dark roads a lot.

You can see the differences in the interiors(dial trim, door panels, console design), but you can't see that the brakes in the '06 are improved over previous years.

I think the biggest problem with the base model is no cruise control(and you can't add it), no TCS or VDC option, and if you are going for performance, you will need to add a limited slip differential($1000+).

It depends on what plans you have for the car, the mileage of your options, and the price difference. Good luck.

ah ok well i think im goin for the 04 touring only the fact it can get it a bit cheaper and it has less miles. thanks for the info. Well im goin for somewhat performance but just simple bolt ons really and mainly on looks as well. but my big biggy is handling.
