Default Z owner, finally

Well, my wife is actually. Picked her up an '07 Solar Orange Touring last Saturday. She has been wanting a Z since they first came out (I have too, of course), and we were finally able to get one. Got a good deal on it, as the dealer said it was the first '07 they got delivered and were not able to get rid of it. Don't know if it was the color or what, but we're glad they couldn't. BTW, we love the color. Of course she has an '03 Candy Lightning Blue ZX-6R and an '01 Yellow Monster, so she likes bright rides.
Just have to say we are loving the car so far. It has been all we expected. I've never really driven a true sports car and I can't get over the "planted" feel this thing has at speed and in the curves. Our last car was a '99 Grand Prix GTP and the Z is so much more stable and responsive. Curves I would take at 50 in the GTP are more like 70 in the Z. And I'm not even used to it yet. I never knew I could have as much fun taking curves in a car as I do on my bike. I get the sports car thing now and look forward to more of it.
Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi" and look forward to learning alot about this great car on this forum.

Welcome from another SO owner! You can often really do well on a car the dealer is dying to get rid of. We did the same thing in July, and are very pleased.

Glad you're having fun. Be safe.

Pictures, please.

Welcome and congratz on the SO. It's looking like your SO's will be a relative rarity in the future, given there aren't too many of them.

Thanks. Yeah, that was the one. They had a great price on it, so we went ahead and bought a few months earlier than we planned on. We're glad we went ahead and got it, as we are loving this car. It has been everything we expected.
BTW, congratz on your Roadster. Enjoy.

Yeah, I'm noticing that their pretty rare on the board and I've never seen one around here. To me, it is a gorgeous color, especially in full sunlight. Of course I like bright colors with lots of metallic.

i have noticed there really arent a whole lot of Z's on the road in this area... Especially Solar Orange.. And as for the Roadster I dont ever really see any.. i think i have seen one.. So if u see a red roadster its prolly me.. and same for u .. I am pretty sure ur the only Solar Orange in Desoto County.. I live in Southaven.

Congrats and safe driving. Solar orange is now a very unique color since they don't make them in 08. It was my second choice behind the new Nogaro red which I bought about three weeks ago.

Enjoy your Z and post some pics when you have a chance.
