I just took home a new '08 Carbon Silver 6spd base Z. My intentions 4 hours ago were to only go and test drive one to compare it to previous years.

Well, i guess I liked it enough to take it all the way home with me.

haha i was doing the same thing. I test drove it every year but this time I had to take it home. Best car ever.

Congratulations! Hopefully no one will make fun of you for having the lump on the hood. When I first got the 07 Z everyone was making fun me for the lump. They would always point and laugh and say there goes the guy with the lump on his hood.

Congrats! I had the same happen to me too!! I went for only a test drive, and left with the car!! Dealer really didn't have to say anything, the car sells itself!! I know few that have been stong enough to only test drive. Esp if you are coming from a FWD.
