I am looking to buy older models... somewhere 2003,04,05...

But what I need to know if the HID comes with it or just a standard.

Early Base models did not have HIDs but I don't recall in what year they were added to the Base.

Im thinking the standard HIDs started in 06. The previous years you had to get an enthusiast or above trim level. Dont quote me though.

I know for sure that the Tourings have them standard 03+. Not sure about other models.

soo if i do get a older models with no HID...

Can I replace it? is it gonna cost more by putting a hid on a older model?

Just buy a HID conversion kit. There are several available online. Its a basic plug and play kit. Im in your basic area if you need any help with install of a kit. Pretty easy though. Look here for kits...

Id say if your going to do it. Do it right. Make sure to use Philips bulbs and ballasts if possible. Dont buy cheap HID kits. Have fun. Let me know if you need help. Take care..

I cant remember if the track did or not. For some reason I dont think they did have HIDs

06+ standard hid
03-05 hid only in touring and track!
I have 03 track, i have hid, but they are not full hid, only headlight is hid, high beam is halogen!

I have an 03 base which means it didn't came with HIDs but I have added plug and play HID 6000K ...it's looks very nice and realistic (well as realistic as plug and play gets) ..I gotta post some pics...

this is a great kit ..http://www.retro-solutions.com/DIGITAL.html I am very pleased with the product and their customer service...it's took me and my friend less than 1 1/2 to install...I love it...

If you find a Z that doesn't have HIDs but it's in your price range and everyting , GO FOR IT!!!

Ok here is how this works...

All 2003-2005 350Z have HID's EXCEPT for the base models. All 06+ have bixenon HID's on ALL models (even base). So if you do not have HIDs you must have a 2003-2005 base model.
