Default RX-8 to 350Z new bee owner

just bought a red 08 350Z base with the big factory rear spoiler (not small lip looking one)... only thing I may do to the car for now is add tint to the windows and perhaps add a subwoofer to it.. debating on if I want a IPOD or CD changer for this car.. not sure how mod friendly the stereo is, but suspect it has RCA inputs on the back..

The only big factory rear spoiler I know of is on the NISMO 350z.

How much did you pay?

Hey I did the same thing. Went from a RX-8 to a Z. I regretted it every since. But welcome.

LOL... How is that. I test drove a few RX8's and hard too. There is no way I would ever trade my Z for one. The torque, the HP, the handling. Granted my suspension isn't stock.... but the RX8 has a damn annoying exhaust note... Just my opinion, I would like to know from an owner why you liked it more??

Oh and welcome, enjoy your torque

You see not all of us are going after hp. I was actually happy with the hp of the 8. The RX-8 had enough to hold it own when you know how to drive it in a twisty canyon road or took it to our weekend track event. I like the interior better than the Z also. I was really considering doing a 3 rotor swap in my 8 though. Dont get me wrong the Z was a blast to drive. I just got tired of n/a cars. Reason why I sold both of them (the 8 and Z). I'm looking for a replacement now though.

Sticker price was $29,800 if I remember correctly, 3.9% for 60 months

The spoiler I have looks similar to the Nismo spoilers, not sure if its same one... it's kind of boxy in the center and flares forward on the ends.. I'll take a few pics of the car sometime and show u guys

That's a nice interest rate. I'd love to bang out an interest rate like that on the mortgage we're soon to have.

That's weird I've driven the RX-8 and it's a real pig. If you like it that much, then why dont you buy one? They are much cheaper then a Z. The RX-8 compared to a Z doesnt handle nor is faster then a Z. The RX-8 is a chicks car. The real rotory was the RX-7 TwinTurbo. But the new rx cant even hang against a new civic si vtech. The only thing nice about it is the interior if that. But, thats up for debate. If you have nothing better to say about a Z then why do you still own one. But, dont come on here taking **** about the Z.

I don't own a Z no longer, I traded squeeky or rattles (depending on the day of the week) for a Titan a few weeks ago. I do agree with the FD comment though. I loved all three of mine.

The Z is a fun car to drive don't get me wrong, but for a $30K car, I think the interior could have been better. I also didn't like the feel of a heavy car. Unless you have a HR, the Z isn't exactly fast.

Quit arguing, let me state my opinion, from experience, like I'm entitle too. If you don't like it, ignore it. Thats what most adults would do.

I apologize to the OP for coming here and bashing in. It wasn't really my intentions. I just wanted to get ahead of the RX-8 heaters.

Mr X, couldn't see your image for some reason..

I'll post pics soon..

as for my RX-8 (which I still have temporarily til I turn it in).. I liked the interior a lot... the side doors were kind of cheesy to me, but functional.. I think the Z could have a little more pizazz for the interior, but is appropriate for a sports car I think.

The RX8 has adequate power, but it's not a sporty type car in terms of speed/take off in my opinion. The ride was pretty good and quieter than the Z for sure.. but, honestly not bothered.. I saw this nice shiny red Z on the showroom floor and just fell in love.

the price tag was $29,800 (including $500 for the red paint job, $900 for destination and something else.. ).. they didn't say anything about the spoiler on the sticker, but the salesmen told me the spoiler I have is $900-1000 to get.. The white Enthusiast model with no spoiler was $31,400... I dont like white

Congrats on the Z.

Interior has always been my least favorite part of Z. I refer to it as "early areospace". But everything else is aces! LOL!

That's cool man I apolpgize if offended you. I happen to have an HR and the power is a pretty good differance. I know that with the 07+ Z's the interior has a lot more brushed aluminum and has bluetooth and a couple more extras so I think Nissan has done some improvements to the interior from the later models. What year was your Z? Did it give many problems?

Wow now thats what I'm talking about that is a great looking Z. The wing is a Nismo very nice. Why did it need a new paint job if it is an 07+ judging by the hood?

I believe the new red color costs more like they do every year with an exclusive color.
