Default Recommended Tire Pressure

My 350z is garage kept; however, it can get a little cold out there during the winter mornings (35F). I haven't been able to find the recommended PSI anywhere on the car or manual. All that I have found is that I should go by the recommendations on the tire itself. When I drive my car in the mornings, I always get an alert that my tires are too low. After driving a while, the warning goes away after things heat up and the PSI becomes higher.

I've got the front tires set at ~35 PSI and the rear tires set at ~40 PSI. Does anyone know if there is an official PSI recommendation by Nissan? Also, does anyone know at what PSI the sensors trigger the warning?

Thanks.

35 PSI is what is recommended for OEM tire sizes.

Thanks for the replies. Still looking for the info on when the sensors trip. All that I can find is "below 25%" but it's gone off at like 30 PSI. I'm thinking there's something wrong with one of my sensors.

Look on the underside of the lid of the center compartment.

I have a 2003, so maybe it's located on another spot. I'll check the center console in the morning. I also heard that it could be on the inside of my gas lid?

Still wondering about the sensors - what psi do they trigger the alert?

If you properly maintain yoru tire pressure, you won't have to worry about when the alarm goes off. If you wait for that to happen you aren't properly maintiaining your car.

READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL!!! If you don't have one go to Nissan's site and download it for free. You could have answered every question you've had just by reading your owners manual!

Brickyard was right. The information I was looking for was on the underside of the lid of the center compartment.

So, I found out that the sensor was doing it's job... I had four nails in my rear-driver's side tire. It's crazy because all four were in the inside side wall of the tire. I'm just going to get two new rear tires in the morning. There goes $600 more into my 350z. I love it!
