Default New Z'er, Tennessee

2003, daytona blue, performance, i think its performance anyways. There seems to be some mixed views on certain trim and option packages, it has trac control and vdc, 6spd-mt, cloth interior, no nav, and the stiffest suspension and most road noise i have ever heard. It's the greatest car i have ever had. 78000k, still looks, drives, and sounds new, payed 10000 grand for it and even got the guy to throw in a brand new hp pavillion laptop. Did i do alright? how is the quality of the Z generall, any thing other than normal maint?

LOL sounds like an 03 Performance. Before I had the alignments and changed my front tires, the noise was loud!

tranny seemed fine but i only test drove a handfull of Z's as a basis of comparision, but as for the tire feathering the tires that were on there had been on there a while at least 8 months(he had reciepts) and i did a carfax and all of his service records matched the carfax and the tires were nearly flawless after 8 months and 10,000 miles minus some tread.

Have you checked the inside of the tyres to see if you've uneven shoulder wear?? Sounds like it's a possibility.

If your Z is still riding on stock Bridgestone Potenza's, they do tend to be a bit on the roudy side, which is normal for those tyres.
