Default Need help. Potential 350z owner.

Hi! My name is Johnny and I am 21 years old. I currently drive an 03 Lexus IS300 which is good for daily driving but it lacks power so now I have been searching between a 350z and a g35 for the last 3 weeks and decide that I like the z better. I live in Arizona. I am trying to look for a black one and came across one on craig's list that has already been modified. I think it looks sweet even though it is automatic. I am unsure about it since I don't know much about 350z's. Can anyone one here give me opinions on this car. Tell me what you think. Good buy or no? Here is a link... http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/1160168781.html

Personally I don't trust anything thats posted on Craigslist, but that Z does have some nice mods. You should look for a stock one so you can mod it yourself.

This doesn't look too good

I honestly dont like buying modded cars unless a reputable shop checks the car out and vouches for it. Id find a stock 350z owned by an older individual

I assume that you have driven the 350Z and are satisfied with the suspension for a daily driver. And having lived in Tucson where temperatures reach 110 degrees, are you sure about black? That will be one hot sports car!

The photos look good but photos can be deceiving. This looks like a 3,500 pound Z: all bling and no go.

suspension isn't a problem cuz I am use to driving 60 miles a day to work and home on my dropped IS. My car is black w/ black interior so I am use to the heat also. lol.

Welcome to the forum. If it were me, I'd keep the IS for every day and keep the Z for when you feel like going for a drive. Having said that a large majority of the Z's on here are DD's.

Either way, whatever you get do your homework first. Might even be a good move to head along to your local meet, chat to the peps.
