Default New Owner. Couple questions

Hey there.
I live in the seattle area and last month I purchased a 2006 350z touring model. The car is a one owner and is very clean and hasn't shown any issues (besides a slight exhaust rattle). I purchased the car with 42000 miles for $23000 out the door including my trade in. The trade in, however, was an 02 FWD audi a4 that I owed 11,700 on that had 90,000 miles on it, had been in an accident, and was due for a timing belt and control arms and various other odds and ends. They gave the 11700 on trade and paid the audi off. And just charged me the $22,000 sticker. I feel that I didn't get ripped too bad considering the value of the trade in.

Anyways, just wondering if there any typical issues that I should watch for as the car nears the end of its factory warranty? Also, is there any recalls that need to be taken care of for that year?

Thanks in advance.

auto or manual? if manual it may be an oil consumption prone engine. no other real issues to worry about.

$23000 for a 2006 with 42k miles seems to be pretty high. however, judging on the deal you got for your audi, it seems like you got an ok deal. congrats. excessive oil consumption is the main problem with the '06 Z like aforementioned.

Thought it was just an issue with the engine...why would transmission matter? Just curious.

OP-Welcome! Check out the 100 most commonly asked questions thread....you will learn alot that way. If you do go through oil alot, request an oil consumption test...may get a new motor that way!

I don't think this is the best forum for couple advice.

I would refer to the Dr. Phil forums.
