Default New to the forum, have a 2003 Track Z

I picked up my M6 03 track in Jan 09 with 67K miles for $11500. I'm not really new to performance cars as this is my DD while my 1989 Toyota Supra turbo is being worked on. I finally toasted the rings at 470whp on stock internals and now its getting a carbed and cammed 6.0 LSx Chevy V8.

I do intend on modding the Z but not immediately as finances and logistics don't permit me to have two cars in pieces. I'm going to end up doing full exhaust with test pipes and headers, MD 5/16" plenum spacer, and either a 3.90 or 4.08 rear gear. After that I will probably get a technosquare reflash. I'm not worried about mileage, I only drive 8 miles to work.

When this set of tires is done, I'll also probably trade up my RAYS for a set of 17x9.5's in favor of cheaper and wider tires.

It's taken some getting used to with the Z forums, the Supra and the LS1 have reduced down to one or two central places to go for info, while I've bookmarked at least four major forums on the 350Z.

I've seen dragtimes.com has a couple of supposedly stock Z's in the mid to lower 13's, so I'm hoping to get down around 13 flat eventually. Not sure if these mods will get me there or not but that's roughly my goal with the car and I don't really want to go FI or spray it.

Welcome to the site.

I would remove that spoiler as quickly as humanly possible, it looks horrendous.

I don't care for the coffee table either, but when I picked the car up it booked at $16,500, so for a $5,000 discount I tolerated it. If I get the $$$ I'll remove it for a slick trunk lid. At least the previous owner bought a Stillen wing instead of a Pep Boys special. LOL

Walker, but I'm in and around BR and NO a lot.

I did. Actually looked at it a few months ago as well. I've got a good idea of where I'm going with the car. The V8 will be a sub 12sec monster, so I just don't wanna get walked in the Z by any Rustang GT's with exhaust and a chip anymore. LOL

The wing should give me away if you see me. Its like a gorram homing beacon for cops and ricer's alike.

Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the others comments about the wing. Nothing wrong with it. Also if you drop the wing you may find that loose a bit of downforce.

Ive gotten to where I don't mind it anymore (never thought I'd say that). I wouldn't have bought it to add to the car, but it was free so I'm ok with it. Honestly though, it does plant the *** when you break the triple digit marker (actually at interstate speeds you see it 70mph+/110kmph).
