Default New guy....great....

How's it goin everybody? Just got another z and figured we'd take this one more seriously. Had an 04 redline ZR before but trade her in for a silver 03 6spd coupe. As of right now all she has on her is a popcharger, 5/16" plenum spacer and topspeed exhuast. Hope to learn even more about the car while here, thanks!

Congrats on your new Z, you'll love it! There is a place at the top of this section of the forum for new owners to post their "hello". Also, be sure to read the 100 common questions section before asking questions or these guys will burn you at the stake. Have a great day!

oh and i loved the roadster, just wanted a standard and the shape of the roadster with the top up just kinda....didn't sit right with me (not that there's anything wrong with it, just personal pref.)

I've done this a couple of times. I've owned a convertible turbo Eclipse which was replaced with an MR2 turbo and still own a Miata (but will be putting it up for sale when the weather warms up) in addition to my 350z coupe. I find that I really don't ride top down very often because it is TOO hot or raining... and the rest of the time I get to deal with the wind noise and maintenance of a ragtop. I considered an s2k when searching for my 350z, but in the end one of the reasons I didn't buy the s2k is because I didn't really care for another convertible.

Oh... did you mean specifically 350z roadster to coupe? My mistake

I can't justify the jump back, the 04 wasn't a revup AFAIK so I didn't see it as a huge sacrifice, either way, better fuel economy, cheaper insurance and a much lighter quicker car made it all worth it in the end.

It had a few more, but the purchase made sense for a few different reasons, and yeah we like the wheels, they need to be refinished but we get compliments on them quite a bit. The tires are a 225/45/18 up front and 245/45/18, just the angle of the pictures I suppse

Welcome to the forum. Never seen stock wheels painted like that, as one of the others commented. Looks cool.

How long did you have the ZR for before you changed over?

We had the ZR for just over a year before we got rid of her, haven't regretted it yet lol
