Talking My first Z..35th

I've wanted a Z for years...Just got back from Afghanistan and looked for weeks til I found this beauty...2005 35th Anniversary.

Painted the stock wheels myself...really like the new look.
Cold air intake and exhaust in the future.

Welcome to the forum. What a fantastic way to treat yourself after service. Nice Z, even better being a 35th Anniversary.

Cool Painted stock 18's

*/I really liked the wheels with the stock finish. I decided to paint these because 3 of them were curbed when I purchased the Z.

-Removed and cleaned the wheels.
-I used a heavy grit sanding block where the wheels were curbed to help smooth them out. Used a light grit on the rest of the wheel.
-Cleaned and then painted with a hammered finish spray paint.
-This type of paint isn't a smooth glossy finish, which I prefer.
*Also a good idea to paint the rotors while the wheels are off. Makes for a lil cleaner look.
Hope this paint holds up...
here are a few pics

I was in the First Cavalry Division when they were Air Mobile. That seems to be the old term for Air Assault. Welcome home................
