Default New Z Owner

I've been a big Nissan owner/fan since 1999. I've owned 5 Altimas. Currently have one under construction in the garage. I fell in love with the G a few years back and recently became able to afford one. Couldn't really find one like I wanted locally that wasn't somebody elses old daily driver. I wanted a good weekend performance car. Came accross this Z and decided i didn't need a back seat; no plans for kids and I quit fornicating in cars years ago.

So this is the first RWD V6 ive ever owned. I've always praised Nissan to my brother who was pretty much a 100% GM fan untill a couple years ago he got transferred from a Chevy dealership to an Infiniti dealership. Now he has seen the Light! I just wish I'd known what the VQ felt like years ago. Of course, I was stupid back then and probably would've wrecked it by now. Oh well, here she is...

And here's my first mod...

Its a Kenwood DX502 or something like that. I bought it for another car that is still under construction.

not quite sure what the switch is for. I've played with it a couple times and never seems to do anything. I thought it may be for the 12v outlet on the passenger side but if thats not standard then i'm not sure.

While replacing the radio, I discovered 2 missing screws, the factory brackets missing, and the harness spliced, i'm beginning to think the first owner didn't care for it as much as i do. Dont see any holes for aftermarket fog lights so maybe the switch was for neon or amp turn on?

Thanks for the compliments.

Previous owner probably had an aftermarket deck with a DVD player, the switch may have been an override so he can watch DVDs while driving. Nice car btw!

My guess for the switch down by the knee...maybe an alarm shut off. Just a guess. Nice car!
