Smile need some help

I have been doing jobs for the past couple years and in a couple of months I can finally get a car. My problem is, I have been interested in cars for at least 5 years. I am about to turn 16. I will be able to get and afford my own car. I can not decide between a 350z or a S2000. I know it will be biased to post this on a 350z forum but I do read both Z and S forums. My fact is not on power as I already know the S has the small 4 cylinder but weighs significantly less than the Z. Although, the Z has a V6. ! I just need some help on deciding between the two. I have a older brother finishing college and he has owned both a black 350z and a silver s2000. Riding in both cars, it is a hard decision. In his opinion he likes the S2k a lot more. When I ask my dad he says he would rather see me driving a Z. In my view, I see maybe get more girls with the S although being faster in the Z. I do not plan on street racing unless I run into some P.O.S talking crap.
Thanks for the help,
Mac

Both the 350Z and S2000 are good cars. But have you considered the RSX? You get performance AND reliability all rolled into one.

Hardtop Z, better chance of surviving when you crash it.

Have you looked at the cost of insurance for each car? The cost of maintenance? Are AP1 S2ks as cheap now as 03/04 350Zs? I didn't think they were. . .

Oh my word... Anyway... just go with what YOU like, not what others like. Check for known problems for each car depending on the year you are looking to buy. Do yourself a favor... don't street race... you will lose anyway.

let me first say im not biased like most on here im not going to say you dont deserve a Z or S2k but i will say i appreciated staying with integras for my first few cars i enjoyed the challenge of building something that started with no power but were still nice. just remember if you want to modify these 2 cars you have chosen there both going to be expensive for parts. i would say the if you do S2K buy the hard top.

I find it sad that this would be a reason as to why you'd choose one car over another.

If this is the case, get yourself a Civic or Integra. You'll save money, and this forum doesn't need another thread about a teen crashing his Z.
