You might have it wrong..... I read it that it was an oncoming car that should have given our friend the right of way b/c there were cars parked on his side. Since he was coming at our friend so aggressively, our Z driver had to pull to the right to make room, not accounting for the looming tree......
thanks
anyways cars getting fixed

Seemed clear to me - good luck with the repair.

i would rather hit a tree at like 50-60 km/h then hit a car coming head on at 65-70 km/h, = to hitting a wall at over 100 hm/r
and risk some serious injuries, i think if you were in the same position your instincts would force you to get as far away as that oncoming car.
i chose to move to the right, all i was looking for was people, didnt even notice the tree untill i hit it!

ok, how did you determine the other driver's speed? If you saw him i'll put money on it that he also saw you. Depending on how slow you were moving through that entry point it is poss he could have thought you were moving at enough speed to time his entrance just right as you exited. I see it all the time, uncoordinated people. But hey you hit a tree instead...its a done deal. Pretty much just talking out of my a$$ right now is all. Good luck with the fix.
kind of remind me of that insurance commercial with the old guy and the GPS, that says turn left, then TURN RIGHT!! and the guy slams into the parked cars...lol!
