Default new 06 grand touring, need advise

Hey.. I just bought an 06 350z black on black grand touring with 29,xxx miles on it. I paid 18.9k for the car and I was wondering if that is a good price for it. It is in excellent condition. Also... my car doesn't have the brembo brake system in it, so I was wondering if i should take it to the dealership and tell them about that break system considering they have it in the specifications of the car online.

Are you sure that it is a GT and not the Touring? Got any pictures?

+1 its either not a GT, or the PO sold the brembos for cash.

a tip since its an 06, keep an eye on your oil level, the motors in the 06 were known to burn oil

can't tell the trim level entirely from outside, do you have tc/vdc, leather/cloth, steering wheel controls?

Judging from the outside, it's a touring because it doesn't have the brembo brake kit or the RAYS wheels. And like DB said, do you have leather/VDC/steering wheel controls/navi?

I'm a little confused because you said you paid and it was in the description, but you didn't confirm with the actual vehicle/pictures before you made the payment? And 19k is a lot for what you got (even if it is a GT with swapped brakes/wheels...which are the major features of the trim)...

Edit: just saw your recent uploads and that's DEFINITELY not a GT. GT's have oem navigation in stead of the cubby. that's a touring.

Okay... here is the dealers thread, take a look

http://used.nissanattheavenues.com/d...-a1321091.html

also... you made me feel bad now. I thought I got it for a good price considering it has 29k miles. You make me want to return the car now sigh...

Alright, I just thought it was a GT considering thats what the dealership has posted... I'm still going to talk to them about it and say you posted a GT 350z, so how come this isn't a gt

well it seems like a lot for an 06 but given that it's got low mileage it's a good deal. keep in mind you bought from a dealer and not a private seller so prices are always inflated this way. but if they're selling for 19k as a GT and you show them that it's actually a touring, they should adjust the price and give you a better deal

Amossa, I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to settle this matter.
I'm not sure what I'm going to say or get out of them... Also, I was thinking of getting a mechanical warranty for the next 75k miles. Do you think that will be enough. Once again, what should I tell them about this Gt or T mistake they made on their post to get some money back or maybe a brembo brake system installed. You also mentioned that GT's come with a navy... this one doesn't have one.

Also.. is it a 2-3k difference of specs between a T and a GT, so I know how to talk to them about that price. Thanks

i would go back and tell them that they listed it as a GT, but its not, so they can either pony up and give you the features a gt is supposed to have, or they wont. if they don't, you can either say well no go false advertising, but it might not work since youve bought it already.. 18.9k isnt a bad price, but id see what they can do

Yeah you definitely have a touring model there.
Grand touring would have Brembos, Rays Wheel , and Navigation.
I would say it's at least 2-3k difference between the two models probably a little more. When the car was brand new it was even more.
Hope everything goes well for you!

Get your brembos and rays, or you shouldnt be paying but about $16k for the car. I know prices are different in different areas but my friend just bought an 06 6mt Base model for 14.9k. Good luck keep us updated!
