Default Please Help 350z or 300ZX TT

Hi everyone, Im new to the forums and I was hoping to get some opinions on what you guys think. Im shopping around for my first 350z and Im ready to buy it (used of course). I found plenty in my price range that is 13-15k with around 40-60k miles on them. I would either go with one of those z's ranging from 2003-base low miles (40k) or up to 2006 with around 60k miles.
I also came accross this 1 specific 300zx Twin turbo with only 30k original miles, all stock for 14.5k

Now I've liked both the 300zx and the 350z but leaned on the 350z more. I wouldn't mind getting the 300zx Twin turbo because of how clean it seems with only 30k miles and obviously a Twin turbo engine.

Please let me know what you guys think in your opinions what is the best route between the two. Thanks

You don't want the 300zx unless you have some $$$$ to spare. It is a 14-18 years old... things start to wear down and break. So if you plan to daily this ride.. I would have to go say no.

Now for a weekend car, the 300z is a freaking blast to drive with the t-tops off .

(I had a couple of 300z's one n/a one TT..... loved them both but you have to be realistic sometimes)

I have a friend DD his TT with 18psi and no problems. I had a TT at 18 psi for weekends with almost 100k on it and never had a problem so thats all relative. My Z is sold but I am looking at the 350 now. I would love to get into another TT but it is hard to find good ones. Plus I just like newer cars and I test drove a 350 not to long ago and it was a blast.

Sorry wrong forum. This is where new 350Z owners post photos of their car. And we say “Congratulations!”

I have had a 300zx and have a 350z.. I prefer the 300zx just be aware of the parts cost and maintenance you might have to deal with.

Thanks a lot for the reply guys. I think I am going to go with the 350z. I only wanted to consider the 300zx TT because of the very low miles it had thinking it wouldn't give me problems. But i've wanted the 350z ever since it came out.
Anyways I just one a lawsuit after 2 1/2 years from a motorcycle accident I had and Im finally going to get the money in less than 40 days (lawyer said) maybe before. I'll post pics of my 350z whenever I get it within the 40 days. Im going to buy a 350z for sure. Also I only put a 14-15k limit because I wanted to leave some pocket money to add things to the Z.

Thanks for your opinions everyone!

The 350Z is a lot more fun to drive but the 300ZX gets more attention.

Default 350z ot 300zxtt ?i have both

i have both. the 300zx and a 350z. altho i just recently bought the 350z.
my plan was to make my 350z my daily driver and not modify it (much anyway)
but here are my opinions..
the 300zx i think has more potential for huge horse power. if you wanna get a car to mod and make unique, i think it is easier and cheaper than the 350z.

but for overall ride , reliability, economy, and feature and comfort my 350z is 15 years newer and it shows in every way. the newer technology makes the car much more practical as a daily driver and altho my 300zx has always been a reliable car it is getting on in years and that matters. particularly since i drive long distance alot and if something happens and i need to take the car to a shop for a repair they often dont know what they are looking at.
it doesnt help matters that my car origionally only came naturally aspirated and i converted it to a single turbo set up running 6lbs on a high compression engine. (it dynoed out at about 285) so the power is very similar to the TT but mine definitely has more torque lower than a stock TT.

fun to drive?? which one???
well my 300zx is a convertible, so that all depends on what time of year is it. if it wasnt i would lean towards the 350...

style??
i used to think it was hard to beat the 300zx.. and it is. i like both. the 300zx is a classic however. and should be regarded as such. i like it , but if i had to choose only one to drive me around it would be the 350..

both are great choices obviously. sounds like the Z32 is in good condition since it only has low miles but you'd have to completely inspect the car and vehicle report to be sure. if it's perfect and flawless then go for it. if not then go for the Z33.
