New 350 Z
Hello this is my first post on the 350Z forums. I am looking to get into a 2002 350Z Touring and wanted to ask the help of some of the senior members of the forum about some questions i have been having. My last car was a mustang so now i am switching over to the dark side. I have research these topics numberous times but i keep getting different answers.
1. How much psi can the stock block take for a tc? I was told 8psi or 450HP MAX
2. What is involved in forged internals? I know the pistons are the weak spot in the 350z but i was just wondering if i wanted a fully built engine, what are the components i would have to buy
3. Is there a nissan tunning shop/ nissan service shop near Rochester, NY that would be able to install these internals and tune my nissan?
4. Giggle Juice?? I heard 75 shot is "safe" with lower chance of engine damage bc u use it when u need it?
help a hoe out any help is appreciated

1. Your aiming at 400hp on the stock block including the internals. The extra 50 hp is pushing it imho.
2. Your forgetting the connecting rods that fail also. There are ALOT of factors that come into play. Are you going for huge horsepower? If so, better built than be sorry later, but from what I've heard and researched, forced induction has no guarantee if the engine will LAST. For example, our beloved member, Alberto had a great setup, built right, very good choice of parts, but most importantly had a CONSERVATIVE tune. The tune is usually one of the most important factors that you must make. Even when Alberto did that, he said, "I did everything right, had a GREAT conservative tune, timing was good, A/F's good, return fuel system, HKS ignition, and still it blew." You can't be too sure imho whether something is going to blow, but by building it right from the start will give you that added relief when you drive it, but still it's not guaranteed. Read up on the forced induction section.
3. No way Nissan will do that at all. If your talking about an official tuning shop you have Nissan's Nismo Omori factory in Japan lol, but since your in NY, try Performance Autosport. Still search on the regional threads and get more info there.
4. That's up to you. What are your goals? Drag racing? Autox? Road Racing?
Hope that helps.

thank you all for responding. I dont have pictures yet bc i have not purchased it as of yet but i will be inside of it by the end of february so i will def post pictures. Thank you Kcee91 i will look into the performance shop and i know the engine has a chance at blowing simply bc ur puttin more HP on it than it was originally designed for. I dont want any more HP than 500 with done internals but abt close to 400 w. a stock block. My application would be a daily driver than can beat most cars on the road, mild street racing i mean "spirited driving through residential neighborhoods" :-D

I wouldn't suggest driving like that in a residential neighborhood bro. Take it to the track or strip. Don't endanger anyone else's life including yourself and please don't be another statistic. The motor's longevity will depend on how you maintain it and especially how you drive it. As a word of advice, your last comment will definitely get you flamed here.

2002 TOURING?You mean,a 03?Or you got your eyes on a "early production model".
FI stuff on a car this old...you crazy or,just running your mouth?
Buy it first,then ask.
By the way, you'd should have kept the Mustang.
