Default Buying an '05 w/ 90k.. questions?

Looking to pick up an '05 6 m/t base with 90k. For ~$10.4k

Met the guy up today, car looks to be in pristine condition. Car drives fine, paint/interior mint and carfax checks out.

My question is what will I be running into maintenance wise buying this car? I just going to assume he didn't do anything just to be on the safe side... I'm going to do a tune up when I pick it up Thursday.

Is there any major maintenance jobs coming up soon or already due @ 90k?

Thanks in advanced

What is a "tune up" ?
Yes,you can play safe and get the plugs changed/filters etc.
If it were me,and the car runs fine,I'd not do heavy duty stuff like plugs.
I'd change the oil, filters, check out the brakes.Change gearbox oil...Check the
belts..should have been changed by now.
Can the owner give you any info on what HE did?

+1. Just because the car supposedly looks right and feels right doesn't automatically mean it runs right. Private sales are tricky as hell because you don't know if the owner took care of the car from day of purchase or beat the crap out of it and is now trying to pass on the mechanical and/or cosmetic issues to someone else.

I would have a mechanic inspect that car from top to bottom especially since the car is approaching the glorified 100k mile mark just to be safe. Also, make sure the owner provides the paperwork of the oil changes and maintenance that's been done on the car. If not, DO NOT buy the car! It's as simple as that.

Welcome to the forum. Plenty on here running high mileage Z's, some since new. But as the others suggest, make sure you get it checked out.

+1 on getting a mechanic to check it out, sometimes I'd even try to get the guy to pay for it due to the fact that it'll help me pull the trigger.

Also make sure there are records for the vehicle, and check the carfax.

No vehicle with 90000 miles is in mint condition.
