Seeing a Z roadster off the side of the interstate in the wet gives me flashbacks. Glad you're ok, OP!

I could give you plenty of pointers, but they would mostly be overkill/paranoia. I will suggest not driving in the rain with less than 50% of your tread left and participating in an HPDE event with a skidpad/wetpad to learn your vehicle's limits.

HPDE will not cancel because of rain. Did it once in the rain and it was the best learning experience of my driving career. Despite your and others recommends for:

HPDE
autocross
experimenting with ABS in a safe situation

How many members will actually go? I am thinking maybe 1 in 20.

Yep, that's my experience too. I've done the BMW Performance Driving School twice, once in beautiful weather and once in the rain. Both were amazing, but the day in the rain was a real blast.

it was prolly just of those situationsthat no matter what ya did u were gonna spin out. Just keep getting to know the car and enjoying it.
