Default Installing double din head unit with bose system?

I have looked and searched for weeks and I more confused than when I started. I have seen posts that say if you want to use after market head units that you have to run new wires etc for it to work. I have seen yet others that seem to indicate you don't have to do anything extra other than using the wiring harness? I'm not an audio freak and the bose system is plenty for my tastes.

Here is my question that I am seeking clarification on...

May I(with a wiring harness) install a double din head unit on my 2004 Z and it work with the bose system without changing speakers and running new wires?

Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer me.

Yes, just buy the ROEM-NIS2. Everything wires up.

Can probably find it around cheaper than 54 bucks

Yes you can, I did it about 2 weeks ago. All you need is the wire harness, 2003-2005 350z stereo kit double din. I had best buy install it for me, the had the wire harness but it seems like the radio kit is something that all stores would have to order for you. I went to autozone and they were able to order it and get it the next day, whereas best buy would have taken a week. No other stores had it in stock either. Installation through best buy cost me $120, it would have been free if I had purchased the double din stereo through them

Default '04 nissan Z bose replacement with pioneer double din

Bought a Pioneer double din and what I thought was the required wiring harnesses. Only the top two are compatible. do you have to have all four of the harnesses hooked up or just the top two? All I have are the top two and nothing works. I unplugged the bottom two from the bose to try and diagnose the issue but the bose deck seems to work with the bottom two not plugged in. what gives? help me out guys...

Did you figure this problem out ? I'm seeing the same issue with the ROEM-NIS2 and my 07'

4 harness connections and PAC only has 2 connections. I'm not getting anything when plugging the ROEM-NIS2 in, but I also don't have the Gauges on top plugged in...
