I came from an RX8 as well..... and I LOVED that car.....until I drove the Z... the 8 handled so well, but had zero power compared to the Z. Throw some sways on teh Z with some sticker tires... byebye 8s in the turns....srs... get sways...

As NoQuestionZ mentioned, get some good front and rear adjustbale sways. I have Hotchkis and they were one of the best mods I have ever done. The car just turns in and does not want to understeer at all. Really gives a lot of confidence in turns where you want to go at speed but are scared of flying off the side of the road.

 

Both are great looking cars! I'm surprised you haven't picked the Z over the 8 yet! I used to drive the 8's at work a lot when I worked for Mazda, but the Z just FEELS better. Also, jealous of your color combo! It took me a few years but finally, the orange leather grew on me. Looks great with your car!

I have my 04 Touring almost a month now and I LOVE it.. Its my first high performance car and I think I made the right call.

hey, if anything it will be alot easier to work on the z rather than any rotary. but as the others say, both nice cars

I really dislike the rx8. Z over rx8 any day!! All vehicles have problems but the 8 has more I believe. GL w future mods w Z! Good choice.

 

Yeah. There's a reason why you dont see a lot of RX-8's on the road and why Mazda stopped making them.

I remember sitting in one during a major auto show before it was released. The deisgn of the interior, especially the cetner console, was horrid.
