Hi guys,

I just purchased an 06 roadster today!!!

I'm coming out of a 4th gen Eclipse (sorry club4g) and I'm loving it so far.

By the way,

So far I have 2 issues with the car:

1) I have an exhaust leak somewhere
2) The convertible top sticks towards the end when I'm opening it. Like right before the decklid closes, it sticks. Any ideas?

Well, first I have to get a couple of things fixed and do some routine maintenance. After that, I'm thinking Resonator delete now (probably nismo exhaust later), trade rims for some gray mesh-ish ones. Any suggestions? I DEF want to get a navi/multimedia player in the car soon. Just going to wait 'till I learn a bit more about it first

EDIT: wtf, my driver side window wasn't rolling back up?

Welcome!
Yeah,I'd lose those wheels.Gunmetal would look great.Mesh is a good choice
for the roadster. There are many wheels available.Start with a budget. No use looking at
rims you can't afford. On you top sticking...I don't have a roadster.Howver, have owned my share of converts.Alot problems such as what you are describing comes from components in the top mech needing lube.I'd start by applyinga lubricant to every
hinge, bearing etc you can see.Convert tops incl motors can be a headache.Your
window, could be the switch.Prolly the motor which is a common thing to go out .
It could be just sticking. How long has the car been sitting up?
I'd not recommend screwing with your exhaust, removing the resonator.Wait and save up
to do it the right way.Your "exhaust leak" may be from something that hit the exhaust.
The car rides pretty low.Its easy to scrape the exhaust system...especially nearer the front towards the cats.Get it up on a lift at a muffler shop.Prolly could be patched up or sealed until you get that exhaust...Nismo is a good one.

Thanks guys.

@JCITY: Really appreciate the advice man. I've considered trading my rims. For now, I need to take care of that exhaust leak. It's actually right after the driver side cat before the flange. Just going to take it to the dealer tomorrow morning. They said they'll fix it.

The window is really pissing me off. It refuses to close at all now (even after banging it). I have it under a tarp for the night in my driveway. Taking it to the dealer first thing in the morning so they can fix it. Also, the convert top motors and window motors seem to be slowing down a bit, but my voltmeter still reads 14V when the car is start. Any advice?

Already lubed the joints with oil Going to apply some grease tomorrow.

Plan is to then flush all the fluids, get new brake pads, and a new nismo shift **** (I have a crappy plastic reproduction of the OEM one).

Exhaust Leak:

Honestly speaking though guys, the rims actually don't look too bad. Haha
