New to the Z family
Hey guys I just started reading this forum all the time and i thought i would just let you guys know what I bought.2006 350z Touring 104k.Love the car to death and I want to point this out,I am 18 this is dream come true for me to be driving this car every day. Alot of you will say i shouldnt own this car due to my age but I know when to screw around and i know when to be extra cautious. The car is 100% in my name even insurance so i work my *** off to own this car. This baby handles like an absolute dream i have never driven a car that sticks to the road so well but i must say she needs some boost. In my area kids are into the diesel scene which is just flat out annoying to me since all they wanna do is role coal... but anyways can someone help me by pointing out what i will need to do internally to make this car 600hp capable.I do not want to be flamed and told to search for the search button i came here to learn,to get opinions from anyone who would like to help me out.I am doing all the work on my Z myself with the exceptions of a few friends. This car means the world to me and i want this to be a fun safe and enjoyable build. thanks, Devon

Welcome to the family!
600HHP...how much dough do you have?
FI,dual turbo and then some route. To do this
right, you might have 20k invested. You may want rethink.
Why 600HP?Is this a magic number?The addition of 100whp
will do wonders.A SC would get you there without changing
engine internals.Maybe,6-8k total cost.Your miles are not that high.
Is your car in excellent running condition? That would be a factor
before pouring that kinda cash into your Z.
I'd lose the gay blue lights in the grille.

Hey easy there about the blue lights haha the girls seem to like it but i really want to go FI due to my fascination with turbos. My car runs 100% i change the oil every 2000 miles. The power steering pump squeals when she isnt warmed up but hey thats a simple fix. What exactly do i need in order to run 10-20 lbs of boost safely?I know that the rods arent the strongest in these things so Im guessing start there.600 hp is just a goal of mine and yes i have the money to do it i have been working since i was 12 years old on the family farm so i have some money in the bank.My main focus is to pull the motor and get it truly ready for a turbo. This car will be traveling all over the north east and florida so its going to be geared to a show car with muscle to back it up.Like i said i dont want to get burned for asking all these things but its hard to find straight up answer on this site.So many opinions so many choices i am lost in a sea of z fans (which some of these kids dont even own a dam z and are asking all sorts of questions. This car means alot to me and anyone who helps me out truly i will meet up with you over summer for a z meet or something along those lines. In buffalo ny we dont have much of a car scene just a bunch of douches in civics, eclipses, and wrx's who think they are the s**t.Oh also where in the heck can i get it tuned once i but this baby all together.I am not sure if anyone has heard of innovative tuning but they are an absolute rip off.Told them i wanted to boost my car and gave them a 500hp mark and they said $40000 uhh over half of that was just labor.

Stick to realistic goals right now man. I'm sure we all want 600whp but just from reading, it isn't an easy task (unless you've got mula to blow)
I would do what I can afford. Maybe get all your basic bolt-ons done?
Work your way up there. That's what I'm doing... Just my .02

If you want a reliable high output turbo engine that will last you over 5 years, you need to do the standard internal upgrades. Titanium Valve Springs & Retainers, Forged Pistons, Forged Connecting Rods, Upgrade Head Gasket, Sleeved Block.
This is just a general guide. I have not turbocharged a 350z but i have seen countless turbo setups.

A best of both worlds build is always incredibly expensive. Trust me, that's where I started haha what worked/is working for me is doing things as I can. I started with the standard bolt ons, some cheap exterior mods, more aggressive with the engine, hit a deer (did more exterior mods thanks to the insurance haha), turns out I started drifting and am now focusing on that. If you start out knowing FI is the goal then you can choose parts that you know will work a turbo set up and work from there.
