New Owner - Royal Blue '06 Enthusiast
So I've been committed to getting a Z for about 7 years now and I'm financially at the point now where I can handle the payments for a car like this.
I think I deserve it after my crappy car history which is as follows:
1. 85 Honda Prelude 5MT with the unibody made entirely of rust
2. 86 Chevy Blazer 4AT - actually not a bad truck
3. 88 Chevy Corsica 4AT - steaming pile of **** in every possible way
4. 00 Toyota Camry 4AT 2.4L I4 - great car, very reliable but boring
I've had to get used to driving a manual again, since the only manual car I owned was the Honda and that was 14 years ago. Only had it for a month, too. So yes, I've killed it about 67 million times but I've gone 3 weeks now without killing it or otherwise mistreating the transmission.
All I can say is, I love this car and plan on owning it for many years... <3
Stats:
2006
Royal Blue
Enthusiast trim
48k when bought for 15,495 - now 50,400
Some aftermarket parts like eyelashes, taillights, CAI, radiator cap
It's got some scratches on the interior but that seems to be something no Z owner can escape, so it's all good to me. Cosmetically, it's got small dings and scratches in the front but nothing gawking bad. The paint looks really good, the interior is very clean relative to some of the other Z's I looked at at used car lots. Some of those things were absolutely HAMMERED. Like, exploded cans of soda in the back, huge gouges in the center console with pieces missing didn't have a tune up in 25K, sounds like **** and bald tires hammered.
Now for pictures!
About a week after I got it - looking back now I'm horrible at detailing cars. I've since gotten better
Could someone with an experienced eye tell me what's customized in this engine picture here? I'm still trying to find out the extent to which the previous owner modified the car.
As for modifications, I do plan on doing some autocrossing with it, so I'm in the market for good tires I can use for that purpose and I'm pretty sure I need to do something about the brake lines so I don't have fading issues due to the weight. That seems to be common on these, confirm/deny?

Congratulations on the Z!
You deserve it after a list of cars like that haha
The strut brace is stock (adjustable though mind you) and you also seem to have aftermarket front bumper reflectors (led perhaps)

Yeah, I don't think they'll stay on forever.

As someone already mentioned, it's Daytona Blue, and it looks great! I'm surprised that no one has said anything about the painted calipers 0_o. I had mine painted before, so I'm not hating.
I dig the JDM tails on blue, I have them on my White Z too. One thing I suggest you do is trade me your oil/radiator caps as they just look crazy on your car, and they would be waaaaaay better on my Z :P I'd eve throw some cash on top of mine too!
Welcome to the boards, keep her clean and on the tires!

It does have some rust on the aero panels underneath but for the most part it's in good shape. There's only so much you can ask for from 5+ year old Maryland second hand cars.
Couple more questions if you all don't mind:
The clutch seems to have a different (higher) release point from the 03-05's I tested which has me wondering if it's different too. did they change the clutch in the '06 models or do I possibly have an aftermarket clutch? The gear shift is stock.
When is the variable valve timing supposed to kick in? mine starts at 4K RPM. Trying to figure out from this if it's maybe chipped or not.
