Default My Pride & Joy

I've been longing for a 350z since they were reviewed on top gear many moons ago.

Here she is, still completely standard except an induction kit.

I've owned my beloved Z now for just over 6 months and have only had a few issues.

Under the passenger seat filled up with water!!! Quite a bit of googling led me completely down the wrong track of aircon or weathstrips!! The actual fault was under the bonnet behind the battery under the plastic cover there is a big rubber grommet where the wiring goes through the firewall. This looked like it had been removed at some point and left pulled up the wiring loom leaving a massive hole straight into the car.

Last week while going a little bit too quickly the exhaust went with a pop and now sounds unsilenced. After a quick look under the back the centre section and rear box have sheared off at the flange.

I've managed to get an absolute steal off Ebay and gone for a resonated cat back system without the centre muffler. This is being fitted on Friday so will report back how it sounds

Oh and one last thing.. I'm getting quite used to giving the sub a smack every time I drive off (seems like a good remedy for intermittent bass) lol.

Speak to you all soon

It's all good. At least I found the problem and it didn't cost anything to fix.

It's all dry now :-)

Had the same grommet problem with mine. But that's because I ran my amp power line through it and didn't seat it properly after.

I think the first thing I want to get sorted it the speaker setup. I've had the tiny sub amp out a few times now. I've resoldered joints and tried packing out the relay all to no joy. The only way I can get it to come on is by giving it a thump. Has anyone managed to fix one of these or no of a replacement without too much work?

I would also like some subtle body enhancements (rear wing and a sensible body kit). Nothing too out there as the police seem to like it already ;-)

Here's a few more pics of my beauty.

Welcome to the forum!

If I recall correctly, wasn't the Top Gear episode really negative about the Z? Saying how it's too Americanized now? lol
