Just bought my first 350Z!
So I just purchased a '04 touring 350z and it had 89,000 on it. I purchased for 10,000. Everything runs smoothly so far.. But I was wondering would I be able to do forced induction on my vehicle SAFELY????!!! I really hope so it's fast and great to drive but want that extra power... Anything will be helpful thank you!!!

I have a 2003 that I’ve owned for close to 11 years; the car has 93K miles and the engine runs perfectly.
The engine is stock. I’m suspect of FI. In fact I deliberately chose the 350z because it did not have a turbo or anything that raised the engine’s internal pressure.
A reliable engine with low maintenance and operating cost is rare in a performance car. The stock 350z engine provides this. Think about it before you expose yourself to expenses that go past modifications.
Just "sayin"

Before you go ahead and do anything I'd be inclined to just give your engine a health check, you know compression test and leak down test just so that you know exactly what you're dealing with and what you can safely expect to accomplish if you don't want to be doing a rebuild in the very early days of you going FI.

Welcome... I suppose all the people above me will let it slide that this isn't in the "New Owners" category....
Kidding.
My opinions on FI are: It would be awesome, but I can't justify the DOWN PAYMENT of a much nicer all around car that FI would cost me. Now this is me in a 08 Z that cost me almost 25k so adding another 15-20k to do it correctly would put me in a lot of nicer cars.
At 10k you are still in the realm of a nicer car such as a used 370 or similar so keep that in mind....
If money was no object? I would Twin Turbo in a heart beat!!! SO SIIIIICK!!!
Now, if I was you? I would drive the car for a year or so to feel out all the "quirks" that the Z comes with(mostly stock too
) like rattling interior, clunks, crappy VLSD(if equipped) and bushings that will go usually sooner than later with that "many" miles.
If I was you, I would pay it off (if it isn't already) and then mod. This should give you time to enjoy what your car is before it becomes what it was.

Honestly I would go and do suspension and brakes first. You are going to need to do bushing work too. Specifically sub frame bushings, diff bushings, trans mount, and engine mounts. Don't go with the stock rubber but go with solid differential bushings and the rest do polyurethane. It is not that bad of nvh with solid differential bushings. If you go forced induction your going to need these stronger bushings. Trust me I blew right through my differential bushings in the sub frame and I don't have forced induction for my hr Z. Personally I would not do forced induction unless you do complete motor build. Just my 2 cents.
you dont want solid engine or trans mounts if you ever want to carry on a conversation in your car, it will transmit more road and drivetrain noise into the cabin. rear diff will do the same, but it is bearable

So I should be safe with the basics new suspension CAI just the good ole stuff. This weekend I'm getting a custom 3" magnaflow catback from one of my friends shop. But true I will pay off the car before going insane with it I just needed to know cause I went from a 09 specV to this beast haha
