Hey everyone. I just got my '08 Z last month, after lurking around here a while I figured it was time to join in.
So far I'm in love with the car. It has about 75k on it right now with two previous owners. Other than some lovebug erosion in the clear coat on the front bumper that's not quite bad enough to do anything about, everything seems relatively well kept. More than capable of taking me to Purdue and back every once in a while
Since then, I've put a new stereo in it, painted the wheels, replaced the lugnuts, removed the side window tint it had on, and installed an evo-r blitz spoiler.
Total honesty here, I've never really been much of a car guy, so I don't really know as much as I should. The 350s is making me catch the fever now though and I can't wait to learn more

Welcome! Now that you have a performance sportscar, it's time you really learned how to drive. Take a performance driving school, or try an autocross in your area. Time to mod the nut behind the wheel for max performance!
Thanks everyone! Autocross looks really neat. I had never really heard of it much until recently. Is there anything I need to do to my car to compete? Or will I mess anything up doing it?

Contact your local SCCA chapter, as they'll have a list of things before your first solo (autocross) event. Take a solo school if they're available in your area. In general, bleeding your brakes and refilling with fresh DOT 3/4 fluid will help, as brakes are used a lot. Check your brake pads and rotors as well. Learn how to proprtly jack up your car and support it on jackstands to remove the wheels. Plenty more details on this and more in the autocross.track section on this site.
Welcome to the forum. Get ready to do plenty of reading as you'll find just about everything you could ever wish to know about your car on this site, the information on here is so comprehensive.
Welcome to the board! As mentioned above learn the car as much as you can before you make drastic changes. I'd learn how the car reacts at a track day or autoX then after a while pick up some sway bars. Best bang for your buck imo. Intakes, exhaust, and short shifters (other basic mods) won't give you the results for the money spent. I got an exhaust just to liven up the oem sound.
