Hey guys i've been lurking on this forum ever since I decided to buy my Z. I'm 16 years old and i've worked since the 6th grade constantly trying to make money to afford a 350z. Finally I had enough to buy a Z and i was wondering what you guys think i should do first? Yes, I know the 20 inch chrome wheels are ugly. They came on the car lol. Keep in mind i'm working a minimum wage job and get around 1-2k per month. Thanks!

 

Nothing! Get oem wheels a d enjoy her as is. Learn to drive and appreciate her. Being young ill asume you have little driving experience and the z is not for the faint hearted. Being a rear drive sports car if you dont respect her she will get out from under you. Good luck

Here's another vote for putting on stock wheels and tires as the first step.

I vote paint those wheels black and when you need new tires find a set of oem 18s... Other then that nice first car, hope you treat it good. When I was 16 I worked at McDonald's and made $5 an hour it was awesome.

Not much time left for school at 8.25 IL min wage if you make 1-2k/mo. If its your parents' ride or they bought it for you, all good. No need to bs, most of us frown upon it, the guys here will flame broil you bbq style. The bs piles up then you end up getting banned. Don't dig a hole for yourself little homie.

 

Actually i'm not trying to bs anyone here. I came to this forum for your guys thoughts on what i should do first..I work at a country club where I work from 5 until sometimes 3 am. I bus tables, wait tables, set up for parties, and plan parties for large businesses in the Peoria area. So yes, i do make 1-2k a month. I understand how you dont believe this but half of my income is from tips. For example. Large parties usually tip 2% of their entire bill. Granted their bill is upwards of 30k. I split this 8 ways with my coworkers. December was full of Christmas parties so in December alone I made enough to pay off the debt that I owe my parents becuase I was 2.5k short and i took a loan from them. So no, mommy and daddy did not by me dream car. I worked my *** off mowing lawns and working wherever i could to buy my z. I hate when people tell me im spoiled becuase I live in a nice part of town. I'm not. I understand what it takes to get what i want and thats what drove me to reach my goal of buying my own, by myself, a 350z. Thanks everyone for the postive comments it means a lot! Yeah a lot of my friends work at Micky D's lol! I've been thinking about saving up for a nice set of new wheels. I'm in love with the Cosmis racing XT-206R's...that would be quite a few of my paychecks!
