I just bought a Daytona Blue Nismo S 124k miles. condition is about what you expect from a 2003. Invidia N1 exhaust S tune cold air runs GREAT! Too fast for me. Any ideas of value? Cant find much on web.
I might agree with you. I just don't know much about them. I bought for $4500. The dealer I spoke to will give $9k. He said the '03 is the rarest of them. I don't like the car. Drives great etc but I will get in trouble with it. I'm a Jeep guy.
Just question if the car is that "rare" ?? I don't need the profit. I just want to know if I'm being fed a line of BS. I cant find anything about the car.
If you have a 2003 USDM S-Tune it is indeed a rare beast. Factory equipped S-Tune (and R-Tune) Z's could be ordered from Nissan and were badged as Nismos, most were retro-fitted at the dealership.
another noob that got dooped into a "special edition" that doesnt exist
From my understanding you could order the full S-tune package with decals. Just like you can with the 370z. Whether it is just a track with the dealer installed Nismo S-tune stuff, I don't know. I also don't know how it would be registered. I have a friend with a factory 370z S-tune, maybe i'll ask him how his insurance looks at it.
If it has the LMGT4s I would be inclined to believe it was shipped over here like that, as that would be the full Nismo S-tune package right off Nismo.com I don't think dealers had access to LMGT4s. That being said, it could have been added later.
