Ok, This was too good to keep it to myself. I think I found that the previous owner was not too easy on this car, broken tabs on the speaker mount on the passenger door. This just about hit the ground when I took the door panel off. No clue if they are decent but the door speakers are Pioneer TS-165P.

Hung the bumper with some gaffer tape just to see what it will look like.

I sold the Yellow rims for $250, no idea why someone wanted them but hey works for me! Pulled the Z out of the garage to clean it up a bit and mount my junkyard bumper, then found out it was way worse than described. Unfortunately when I picked it up it was filthy and I missed the more than 50% coverage of spider web cracks, yikes. So I bit the bullet and ordered a new OEM rear with all the hardware.

I'm loving this restoration and the Nismo bumper looks awesome! You're doing this Z a great favor! I have an 08 350z and never regretted buying her!
For the tire sizes, stock sizes are 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear.
As far as the gallery gasket, YES YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE IT. On our HRs, it's common for the gallery gasket to get blown apart and it'll drop your oil pressure a lot. Go to Z1motorsports.com and order their updated gaskets.

Already ordered along with a small pile of parts to throw in while the oil pan is dropped, coolant is empty, etc.

If I had just known all the parts I needed in the beginning I could have had this done already but little missing things keep turning up. Ended up driving 80 miles away to get a factory bumper to save $200 over the local price what a joke these dealerships are. Local dealership had it listed for $390.80 on the website but ordering was down due to Covid, and it said to call. So I call and the guy tells me that'll be $592.13 and that price has a convenience fee built into it because I called. So the bumper is in the garage and the Front bash bar finally came in (ordered March 19th from FRSport) and all I need is the Tasca parts order with all the rear bumper parts. Some nice weather would help too, it freaking snowed a little today.

I don't know why I read the title as "Ctrl-Alt-Del" Z, but that seems pretty appropriate based on the amount of work you have ahead of you. Good luck.

Haha, I don't plan on it, that must have sucked.

Minimal amount done this weekend as I am still waiting for parts... Wired up the new bumper lights, swapped out one of the old ballasts having an issue with high beams, first full wash and removed the replica Stillen spoiler!

Salvage inspection scheduled for Wednesday this week, she's not pretty but she is a whole car now, nearly street legal!

The only thing I didn't throw on were the side skirts.

Interested in how your fitment is on wheels and tires. I just recently upgraded mine to a 19" wheel that came off a g35, and it seems that it is making contact with the back of the headlight housing. I did lower it with Eibach Pros, so that may be part of the issue as well.

Fitment with 20mm spacers in the front and hotchkis lowering springs, no issues clearing with a 245/35 tire, about a finger gap between the tire and fender. Angle is awkward but quite a bit of clearance between tire and headlight.

Miserable day today Salvage inspection failed because of tint, fender liners, side skirts, plastic under tray, and he said my rear bumper was loose (I didn't put in the 2 plastic clips under bumper reinforcement). Was nice enough to scribble this on my bill of sale. Plan was to take care of most of these items before I had to do a state inspection, had no idea this gentleman would flex his tiny amount of power so hard.

And here is the list of what it to be inspected.

Don't have spacers on mine, but tire size is the same. Looks like about the same clearance as well. Thanks for the response!

FWIW, the wheel liners are super cheap, and I put an aluminum belly pan from eBay for about $100.

Thanks! I had major motivation as I thought I would be driving it soon, then today happened. Hopefully I don't loose the motivation to finish!

Ordered the Z1 as I was planning on it down the road, but come to find out the 06+ liners are a different size than the 03-05 and I didn't see a nice easy listing for all 4.

Ahh, good ole rock auto, less than $30 shipped for the front 2, works for me, I think the back (front) 2 are salvageable.

Yeah, his tiny amount of power made him feel so big this morning. I held my tongue as I knew I had to go back.

Hope it is not the same guy when I go back in 2 weeks, ugh.

If anything, I'd take care of the loose bumper covers at least. If it's another person, then may the odds be ever in your favor

Buy an ozone machine on eBay for $30-40. I bought a Camry from a friend a few months back that reeked of cigarettes and the ozone machine took care of most of it and I was able to sell it for a thousand profit cause it cleaned up so nice.
