I actually liked the wheels the car came with. Not a fan of the candy lime color but I think it would have worked and complemented the grey you chose to paint the car. Even refinishing the wheels a different color would look good.

I didn't hate them either but I couldn't figure out who made them to get a replacement for the front one that was severely gouged, of course I would have to change the color but I think these lightweight rays are so much better. They are a bit boring but they will do until I can find a wider set of nice rims that fight into my budget.

Here is my poor fender, everything else came out pretty good. I think she will have a 10 foot rule, look amazing from about 10 feet away but up close you can tell it was a budget paint job. Still way better than a black/blue/gray color scheme!
Hope to have most of it back together in a few days!

Repainted the fender today and put everything back on the car that I could including the interior parts I had off. Getting so close!

Just finished putting her mostly back together, no fender liners or under tray but all the panels back on the car! Better shot tomorrow, can't wait to drive it, it has been over a month.

Put the new wheels on today, interesting to go from 19's down to 18's, really get some meaty tires now!

My son and I went to a cars and coffee this morning and all was good until I was about a 10th of a mile from the house and I had about 1/2 a clutch pedal. Pulling into the drive in a slight panic thinking about the cost of a CSC replacement, started pricing out the elimination kit and a clutch in my head, then took a look at the reservoir. I guess its my fault for not replacing this fluid when I did the brakes but it had odd black chunks floating around in it then when I sucked it out with a turkey baster it mixed in and looked really bad. Of course I had blown an o ring on the Quick Jack and had lost about a half a quart of fluid so before just lifting up the car and going to work I had to bleed the whole setup like it was brand new. The good part is that it now functions in unison, I think the previous owner did not follow the directions for setup very well. So I lifted her up bled out all the nasty fluid and got my pedal back, expensive repair averted! Under the car I finally just drilled out the broken bolt in the radiator support, now all I need to do is find the right size nutsert. While I was under the hood I decided to finally install my master cylinder brace from Z1 as well so it was an unintentional day of work on the Z.

Will have to let you know after some more driving. Haven't driven much lately, just got home from a hospital stay where my daughter was born. Bad new is that I got home today, drove the Z to do a few errands and I am losing the clutch pedal again, UGH!

Thank you, been too annoyed to post. Poor car just sitting there waiting to be fixed. I kept going back and forth on a HD slave and a CSC elimination kit plus doing the work myself. Well, I picked up the Zspeed CMAK on black Friday and just got it installed last week. So I just had a few maintenance items, swapped the ballast on my passenger side headlight, installed new plugs and coils, oil change and cleaned the throttle bodies (@120886 miles). Just wrapped up all this work a few hours ago so looking forward to testing her out tomorrow. Hoping to drive it down to NJ for a work trip next week.

My exciting poser action shot!

So when I did the plugs and coils I was really hoping to solve this really odd hesitation when driving around 70 on the Highway (2k rpms or so) the car felt like it was either misfiring a bit or not getting fuel. I actually installed a new fuel pump while on work trip to NJ thinking that was it, but the issue was there on the ride home. Finally found a post by someone with very similar issues and it turned out to be the fuel dampers on the fuel rails for them. So I decided to get those, along with a passenger side valve cover (oil in first plug), some silver heat reflective tape (goodbye gold), new plenum gaskets, and an Aeromotive 340 pump for my old fuel housing. Install was actually really simple, tough part was getting the parts. Hope to test tomorrow and see how she does on the highway to work. On the fence about the tape but I know that cleaning these intakes and leaving them the polished aluminum would take some serious time and effort.

Got a Bank 1 sensor 1 02 sensor error on Friday so decided to replace this on Saturday and found out whomever put the last 02 sensor in marred the threads in the header amazingly bad. I tried to heat it and cut some new threads with the 02 reamer tool and that didn't work. So I ordered a used header this weekend and proceeded to remove it, boy that was fun.

Ok, more fun stuff. So I was thinking about a way to update my steering wheel while retaining the airbag for safety and inspection purposes (NH can be brutal). I found the Vicrez steering wheels (OHC Motors) and just couldn't resist with a 15% off coupon. So I did that and finally installed my MEH gauges at the same time. I had a few issues with powering the wheel and finally found it was a poor ground. Now it is stable and doesn't power down during acceleration or sharp cornering. Not sure how useful it is going to be but it is pretty fun to look at for now. Shift point can be changed for whatever RPM range you want, plus brightness with a few other options. At first I was wondering how I would get used to the fact that the wheel is so thick but actually it is very similar in thickness as my F150.

Installed some carbon fiber overlays, and some new goodies came in. The beginning of something much faster, I hope soon! It pained me a bit to drill into my new oem bumper but I am happy with the bumper tuck, also installed my drivers side front wheel bearing.

Did some exciting stuff today that no one will ever see, 370 rear wheel bearings and axles. Now all 4 corners are done, I feel good about that. I'm amazed how much bigger the wheel bearing is, just glad to have all the wheel studs the same length!

Rear tires have to be larger than fronts due to TCS/CVS or whatever it's called. PITA. I put 245/255s on my car recently.

You may want to get some M24 washers under the castle nut on the 370Z axles so the castellations actual engage with the split pin. I picked some up from McMaster Carr when I did my 370Z axle conversion.
