Hey everyone. I've been a Mustang guy for years. This go around, I decided to buy a Z. I've always loved the Z platform, and I found a 2007 HR automatic for 6k with only 153k miles, with no mods, bone stock. I've read a ton of posts on this forum concerning hp mods for our cars. I'd like to share my build over the last few months. It's expensive to get power out of the VQs. I've spent nearly $2k in dual catback exhaust, test pipes, and Uprev tuning since April, but my HP has increased significantly from my base of 261whp in July, to 290.9 on 9/6/21, and all tuning was done by Eric Cruz at Cruzin Auto Performance in Fayetteville, NC. My advice to anyone just starting out with mods is to be patient. Don't get hung up on dyno numbers. They're ALL different. If you add a mod that improves the way your car feels to YOU, you're already winning. Here are my dyno numbers from 7 July 21 and 6 Sep 21. Thanks for having me. Cheers.
Welcome, I too am an ex-Mustang guy, casually looking for the “right” car, but mine needs to be a rust-free stick car, G35 or 350z coupe. Here in Canada they’re a bit hard to find, and when they come around they’re out of my budget.
Nice! I used to drive by Cruzin Auto all the time when I was on the road for work, but never had the chance to stop by. They always had some nice-looking Z's out front. It looks like they did a good job with the tune. I'm glad you're happy with it.
