Default 350Z newb

Hello, Im new to this site and to the 350Z, and I have a touring Z coming my way and I was curious to see what some of the goodies that came with it were, and I cannot find the FAQ that would explain to me, does anyone know where I can find a FAQ that will explain to me what the things that come with the touring model do exactly? Thanks

Here's the comparison chart on the Nissan site:

http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/Mo...tions/0,,30382||,00.html?displayAll

I suggest learning what you can at the site & then come back with more speciific questions.

Cool pic over your name, by the way.

And congrats on the Zzzz

Thanks for the comment, but the link doesnt work so I will just ask the question here instead of searching for the FAQ hoping someone will answer them...

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) - how does that exactly work?

VDC is like a traction control type system that only the 6-speed Z have. I believe it kicks in when the car loses control. I am not too sure the different, but maybe someone else here know better.

Still waiting for my Z should have it before the end of the month!

VDC helps control the car by manipulating throttle and braking if it senses "out of control" conditions". The throttle in the Z is drive by wire, so if you get the wheels spinning with the VDC on, it will actually cut the throttle for you in an attempt to get the car under control, regardless of whether or not you have the pedal to the floor.

So if I try to launch the car at a high rpm, will it benefit me or actually hurt me if I was racing, and could i turn VDC off and on?
