Default Opinion Needed! Get a 2007/8 Nismo or wait for a 2009?

It seems my wife and I are at a different opinion about getting a Z. I feel wierd asking but most here are car buffs so here it is. I will buying out my lease on my infiniti Qx4 in Jan. Wife is opposed to me wanting to get a Nismo since we have a newborn. Affording it is not the issue but last time I got my S2000 I just went and bought it. Kept it about 3yrs and then compromised for a "family type vehcle' with intention on getting a Z at the end. It was a big argument when I went and saw the silver. I am considering getting a black 07 or might wait till the 09--hoping Nissan includes leather and Nav. --don't want to spend the extra $$$ for a secondary car. So what would you do?

Had one ordered then canceled due to the "compromise." Just stayed on since I knew I would have one soon!

i'd wait for the 2009s...there's a good chance you'll be able to find an 07/08 with low miles if you really wanted to get it...see what develops through next year and then decide

I too agree. Since its going to be your secondary car. By 2009 a good few of Nismo Z owner will trade in and if you don't like how the 2009 Z turn out -- Nismo Z will be more affordable then.

I don't think (personally) that there will be too many 2007/2008's on the market used to be honest.

I admit most of my experience has been from people here, so it's not all the population - but it seems to me that the vast majority of folks who have bought them from this year are keeping those things for life (at least until it's worth hundreds of thou... Kidding..)

I am certainly keeping mine. I love it.

I would buy a 2008 personally as it'll be numbered and a good buy, who knows what will happen in 2009 - you could be too late.

you should just buy one now. By 2009, you will be wondering if you should wait for the 2011 or 12. Also the market will be softer going into winter, so you should be able to get a better deal, maybe.

Buy one now then put the new greddy twin turbo, man that would be sweet. i have a feeling the new upcoming Z will look ugly and have the all ready existing 3.7 HR motor.

5 years is a long time. Maybe the 350Z is not for you.
