Anyone consider a 135i over a Nismo Z?
I know the car hasn't arrived in the U.S. yet so it's a bit hard to compare, but is anyone cross shopping the two?
I'd option a 135i with just sports package and leather, so they would roughly be the same price.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

No Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~~~~~~~~~~~
I wouldn't get this one over a 350Z~~~ Helllll no!!!!
First, they don't belong to the same category. Second, it depends on what you looking for....daily drive, luxury, racing, look cool and others thing to consider. Anyways, just my 2 cents~~~

i'd rock a 135i over a nismo z.....
modding the bmw will be cheaper.
it's not a nissan.
it can hold more people.
6 piston brembo brakes.
bmw handling.
nismo z is an overweight pig.

"Hell no," is that all that's going to come out of this thread. I'll try to get the ball rolling.
Looks are subjective. I wasn't a fan of the Nismo at first, but it looks pretty good in person. The 135i like all the newer BMWs should look better in person than it does in photos. When comparing looks, it should be mentioned that we're basically comparing a 350Z that is completely modded to a 135i that is stock. Rims, a drop and a front lip on the 135i should make a big difference.
Acceleration.
The 135i will be faster even before any ECU mods.
Handling.
The Nismo should handle better. The nismo that I drove feels much tigher and sure footed compared to my '06 track Z. From what I've read, the 135i is set up with a lot of understeer. This should be able to be remedied with the appropriate suspension mods.
Brakes.
Both set of brakes should be more than enough for me. Not sure if the 135i has a true BBK, but if it's like a typical BMW braking system, it will need to be upgraded if one tracks the car aggressively. The same can be said about the brembos on the Nismo. Again, the brakes on each car should do me fine.
Michael mentioned that the BMW will be cheaper to mod, but Nissans and 350Zs in general are cheaper to mod. It'll be cheap to extract power from the 135i's bi-turbo engine, but everything else will cost more on the BMW.
LSD.
There is no mechanical LSD on the 135i. The likes of Quaife should offer something pretty soon, but it probably wouldn't find it's way onto my car.
For most people the 135i will probably be a better daily driver with a more comfortable ride and more usable space, but for me, I have no problems currently with using a 350Z daily.

I currently have a 350Z and a 335i coupe and personally I'd pick the 135 over the nismo. The Z is a nice car, but the nismo is kinda pricey. Just my opinion.
Also, for the 335, there are piggyback chips like Procede that makes the car close to 400HP. That same chip will work with the 135 (since it has the same NS4 Direct Injection Engine w/ Twin Turbo setup).
One thing I love about the Z is the design and the power it delivers. The car came out in 2003, and was ahead of its time when it came to power and performance all in which can be had for under 30k MSRP. But nismo goes for over 30k+ and there are many cars to choose from 30-40k range. I remember going to the Chevy dealership and they were getting rid of the 07 Corvette C6 for 39k (to make room for the new LS3 engine on the 08 models).
I would pass, but thats just my intake. Nismo is a nice car, and if you want a factory performance car from NISSAN, then Nismo is definately worth looking at.
