Default Not a drag car

I went to the strip tonight and ran it.

I did a 13.8 @ 103 with a 2.1 sixty ft.

There was some other HR 350z's running faster times(around 13.4-13.1 stock). I was looking at their time slips and I was about dead even until the 1/8 and they started to pull ahead.

As far as drag racing goes, downforce + big wheels = suck.

I want them to come play with me at an autoX and track meet

I agree, it's a sweet *** car, definitely made for rippin up turns.

I took mine out for the first time a few nights ago and really ripped on her, and the car will put lengths on any other car in it's class through turns, guaranteed. It's stiff as a board, even when pulling through a chicane at 80. That's definitely what it's made for.

I love the handling. But I've seen a few crack into the 13.4's and my competitive nature is kicking in. I have to learn how to break 13.5

I did find some autocross clubs in my area. I can't wait to start doing that again. I miss autox.

More like practice makes perfect. The car is a low 13 sec car, you just need to learn how to get it down there better.

i've read the nismo z is a 13.8 car from the factory. my wife and myself are running 13.4's w/ intake and exhaust bolt on's. i do agree that some driver charecteristics will effect results. also i've heard the base (non nismo) hr motors are running low 13's stock. i believe the base one's are around 3500lbs while the nismo is around 3900lbs

How do you like those headers? Did you ever do a before and after dyno.

The nismo is heavier, but neither car weighs that much. The nismo is around 3300-3400lbs and the base maybe around 3100-3200lbs.

A few NISMOs have already ran 13.4-13.5 stock here. And the NISMO weighs 3325 with half a tank of gas.

-- 108nismoz's wife-- The 13.4 i ran was with spare tire in.
rt .321
60 2.094
330 5.754
1/8 8.757
mph 82.49
1000 11.296
1/4 13.447
mph 104.53

i definately felt like i could have done way better- my reaction time sucked on that run, i think when i go back i should be able to run 13.3ish because of the practice. these numbers here were my first time at the strip in this car.
