Does Nismo exhaust actually improve the performances on our cars??
Since the Nismo version Z only has the Nismo muffler, Im just wondering if I will be recieving more power by upgrading the Y-pipes and tubes to Nismo exhausts, anyone know??

ive heard that it is really only a axile back exhaust mosty just the nismo muffler and tips. most say the piping is same as a stock z.
i would also love to hear what are cars sound like with high flow cats or test pipes and bigger pipes. Also see what type of power if any comes form them mods.

On the VQ35HR Nismo Zs, the exhaust that comes on them from factory are exactly the same up to the muffler. The only difference between that and a regular HR Z is the muffler, which is made by HKS. This muffler is pretty much the same except the tips are placed lower than a regular muffler and has larger tips. The muffler itself is a tad bit different also.

Exhaust sound doesn't come just from the exhaust piping (includes mufflers), so you won't get the same sound that a HR Nismo makes with your DE regardless of muffler change. The answer, though, is yes, they're interchangeable.
