Default Salvage Title Nismo

I found a salvage title 2007 Nismo with 3000 miles for 12,450. It will need a hood, fenders, radiator support with cooling, front bumper, drivers wheel airbag, and repair work on the front of the frame rails. The right frame rail is pushed over but will repair, the left rail really needs a front section put in about 8"-12" back. Is it worth it to buy the car and repair. If so how much would fixing it cost? Quick replies would be greatly appreciated.

I'll sell you mine for 28k,mint condition,4k miles, silver, clear title, 2 years+warranty left. By the time you put that back together it's going to cost a bunch.

Buy that one and part it out.

Wheels go for like 3k
brembos for 1500-2000 easy for low mileage
window motors at 100 a piece
seats will go for a nice amount
engine and drivetrain components
interior trim/electronics upwards 1.5k
several good exterior pieces like spoiler, rear and sideskirts will get top $$
door shells and exterior handles
suspension will get top $ as well
people will buy the rear exhaust section and the headers/y pipe for good money
tail lights for $300
side mirrors for $100 -150 for the set

maybe its worth it, maybe not

There's a reason why it's 12k. Whoever is selling it know's it's going to be expensive as FAWK to fix, especially if you're going to put the nismo front end on it.

I would buy it a part if out..you can get a fair bit of money just front the motor/tranny and all the interior parts with all the exterior parts that are still good.. way too much to fix with all the frame issues you would have to deal with in order to get the car to proper specs..yet alone it might not even be fixed...

ill take the brembo front and rears off your hands lol dibs!

Final repair on 06 z total frontclip replacement with labor was 15880.00. Everything in front and around engine including wheels and tires hood fenders complete repaint to match color. All front supports and frame restoration. Around 9000.00 in parts the rest was labor.

Thats the same guy i bought mine from, you better look at it real closely, because what he told me the car needed and what it actually did need were two different things.
Parts are expensive.

Well, I kinda want to know how much it would take to get the car in driving condition, because as long as it drives I can take my time on fixing the cosmetic problems.

You can fix it for $5,000. You’ll have a beautiful NISMO for $17,450.

If it was a clean title with no history of an accident on carfax I'd tell you jump on it, but it's branded salvage, so that right there is a no go, when it's time to resell it's going to be hard, I think no more than 75% of the value........ then there is so much little parts that it's going to need, it's all going to add up. Leave it alone, there's a reason why insurance wrote it off, wasnt worth fixing it......

But with only 3000 miles I would have it for a while. Probably wouldn't even sell it after I fixed it up.

Turn around and walk away.

The insurance company has sold it for salvage and after you spend five+ years fixing it up, it still won't be right. Parts will be closer to $12K since it's such a new model and unless you work in a bodyshop (with a frame machine) you'll spend $10-15K on labor. These cars are NOT for someone who wants to try fixing it in their garage in their spare time.

Life is short--move on and thank me later...
