Exclamation Nismo #0336 got salvage title! worth to repair or not?

Greetings from Saudi Arabia,

I have an imported red 07 nismo #0336, imported one month ago. Yesterday I had an accident with a 04 porsche and it was his fault %100. I cannot explain how the accident occurred exactly but the short story is :
" Im driving on my road and I was surprised by the porsche making U-turn and oops... he is in front of me directly...I stepped on the brake and I was about to hit him but I escaped to the left and I successfully passed him from behind til his rear wheel and..oooops he suddenly went left! and hit me and I landed over the sidewalk.

car condition currently:
-4 airbags went out
-3 wheels totally damaged
-underneath the car is damaged [didn't inspected though]
- other damages as you see in the pictures

I need a help now to make a decision, whether to repair the car or give it away and part it out?
[put in consideration that we don't have here in Saudi Arabia the nismo limited parts so I should buy the needed parts from US.]

So repair it ? how much approximately it would cost in $US? is it gonna back with no future problems? the insurance may give me about $12k? is it enough to buy everything and shipped to SA?

If I part it out how much I would gain?

your help/opinion/estimates are appreciated and here are some pics :

here is a video also... download from here >> inside the nismo

Thanks for all

The insurance here is three types [most of the company two only]:
1- Fully cover the car of yours (whether it's your fault or not] + the other party + any other damaged party [this insurance price depends on the car price and year..etc]
2- the normal insurance which is you cover the other parties only and not cover your car if it was your fault.[I have this insurance]

In this case, the Porsche driver is his %100 fault, so I will be covered on his insurance.so we will run on case#2 above.

the problem is the car got salvage title..so the things here is to go to 3 different showrooms and let them inspect the car and estimate the price of the car before and after the accident... and they put theire estimates in a enclosed envelope. You open that envelop infront of the region traffic and they will open the envelops and take the average and give you the difference between the car cost after and before the accident.. and you take this official documents and go to the insurance to take your money..
the problem now with the estimates becasue it will decide the money I will take from the insurance..and the main problem is the ppl working in the showrooms are never been familier with these cars and never know the actual price..this estimates are randomly taken

It's nice to see that the dealer left the spring spacers in it.

here comes a bad joke

If those spacers where out you'd probably would of been able to avoid that porsche...

seriously deeply sorry for your lost...

too much lower frame damage that might not be taken to serious by whoever is fixing it to get it back to any kind of nismo level...

again I feel your pain on this...best of luck to you...

Wow!!

Not that bad at all would be a fun project!!!! I think you should just buy it back rebuild it. The car is really not all that bad at all. Mostly looks to be cosmetic and sheet metal work as well as needing some new parts from the pics you posted. The labour rate where you are is really cheap should not cost much to fix with real nismo parts even...

Even here it is a cheap and easy fix!!!!

Yeah I saw the spring spacers after the accident
although I did my best to avoid the Porsche twice but he turned lift and hit me

Thanks guys for your input and feelin, and yes the labour here is cheap in comparison to your but would I really get a real nismo after the fix? I don't think so.. so I will try to part it out if the insurance refunded me a good cash.

the car has only now 7k milage and I drove it only for two weeks and I love it very much.

my bad, my luck is not going well with these nice cars.

A few dealers have NISMO's left. I know Gunn Nissan and Ancira Nissan both have black Nismo 350Zs here left in San Antonio, Texas.

Yeah, she's done. I'm sure the steering gears/linkage, cats, oil pan, etc... underneath are wrecked from the look of those three wheels. Plus everything else. Part her out.

I personally do not think a car will ever be the same after that. When you go to your insurance you should also make sure they cover the cost of importing, sales tax, any accessories you bought with the car (i.e., 3M tape protector)

That should all be covered. I would imagine it cost you quite a bit to import that thing.

I woud use the money to import a new one.

On a side note, I was shocked to see your car was red. I thought that most of the cars in Saudi were white because they do not show sand. How did the red paint hold up over there? Did you have to wash it a lot?

Best of luck to you hope everything works out.

Thank you guys for your inputs, I appreciated.

The damn insurance here is just refund you what decided about the estimated cost of the car after and before the accident,,and they took the average and you will get the difference between the two costs. In case if I have a total insurance of my car..that is a different story and they will refund me the full amount or a new car[this insurance was about $2k annually].

On a side note, I was shocked to see your car was red. I thought that most of the cars in Saudi were white because they do not show sand. How did the red paint hold up over there? Did you have to wash it a lot?
lol.. there is many colors here ...but most of the ppl here prefer to buy cars with light colors not too dark for two reasons:
1- most of the SA regions are very hot and sunny.
2- the sand story ..so they will not wash it a lot

but the also the majority of the ppl now doesn't care especially the young people [Im 25 years old]

The dark colors here is a pain and need more care and wash of course, but other than that is okay to have red, yellow,blue,green,...etc

Just for my information, the car cost right now as you see it in the picture? how much does it worth?

Thank you again guys
