Default 08 Black Nismo #1171...

I got 3780 miles on the car.
However from the 1st day to now I still smell a burning smell when I come home and park it in my garage. The burning smell seems to come from tranny .

I don't drive it hard. just normal driving most highway. even after 5min drive to the front grocery store and back I still smell burning clutch. It shifts fine smoothly doesn't seem to have any problem with clutch...
So I was wondering could it be because it doesn't have enogh Tranny fluid?
No metter how soft and carefully I drive I still smell it. And yes I know how to drive a Manual cars been driving it over 7years. I never had this burning smell problem with old RSX before.

Jersey FTW!

Get your Slave Cylinder replaced. Call Nissan, listen for prompts about the recall, and then tell them your vin. Boom BAM!

Default Smell seems to be getting better

Right now the car has 4100 miles.

From normal driving I no longer smell the burning clutch. Maybe I didn't have to worry about the smell after all. My clutch fluid level is full and clutch seems to work fine. so I guess its normal to smell little burning clutch after a little enthusiastic driving.

Are you positive it is burning clutch smell? When I first got my car it smelt like that but it ended up being from the exaust. The dealer warned me that I would smell this for a while, and it was nothing to worry about.

Mine smelt, especially in garages and enclosed spaces for the first 2000 miles or so
