I have decided to buy the Nismo Exhaust for my Z.. I have been searching online and have found the cheapest at $1,150. Soo yesterday I was at Nissan and they said they could get me the Nismo exhaust, match the price and no shipping cost. Now my question is.. is there a difference between the nismo exhaust on the Nismo Z from Nissan and the aftermarket Nismo S Tune exhaust?

 

yes they're different, the exhuast that comes on the nismo Z is just a muffler with bigger tips. The s-tune is a complete cat-back system.

 

I think the difference for the one off the Nismo Z is it's 2.5" from the y-pipe back and the Full Nismo Cat back system is 3" from the y-pipe back. The y-pipe on this one is 2.5" to 3".
I am sure if you search you can find the Full Nismo exhaust New for $900 and used for $550.

The NISMO Z has the same exhaust up to the muffler as a normal 07-08 350Z. The muffler is the only difference.

 

So the guy at nissan says he will get it for me.. match prices and no shipping cost.. what do you guys think i have read do not get it from dealerships

Well I took the leap of faith hahaha dropped the money for the nismo today thanks for the input guys

 

you should be fine. normally people steer away from dealerships because they charge so much. Seeing that you paid the same as you could from a vendor, you should be good to go.
