Default Anyone considering wrapping car?

Ok, Has everyone seen all the cars being wrapped in 3m vinyl? SKINZ car wraps in Charlotte NC and other locations, they have a flat black vinyl kit for cars now, I think it looks badass, Im more show than GO! I was thinking of doing a carbon fiber roof wrap it would cost 420 dollars and will not fade, should last 5yrs or more, it actually protects original paint underneath, I also might do the hood in a carbon wrap, would cost 650 for hood? not sure yet, just was wondering if anyone has tried this yet? here is a pic of a M3 that looks sweet.
It is all wrapped, original paint is protected, I think this is a new way of showing some wild ideas.

For that money you can buy real carbon fiber parts and for what your looking for you can instal them yourself. I do think that flat wrap would be sick though. I have a satin (almost flat) black roof vinyl I havent aplied yet. Im thinking about selling it though. They go anywhere from 40-80 bucks depending.

I say its a cool idea but not for what you want.

yea 650 for a cf wrapped hood? You can get seibon ones for that price.

I wonder how much the entire flat wrap would have cost the owner of the beamer?

if you have the money to temporarily try it out... makes sense, other than that waste of money...

For those prices who cares if it protects the paint? You could just paint those pieces every 5 years... Which shouldn't even be necessary...

^Thats awesome

I never knew it was wrapped I always thought people painted it like that.

I think the flat black looks great in the picutres, and I bet it would stand out even more in person. I don't know if I would personally do it, but it would definitly snap my neck if I saw one on the road

I think it would look good, but would have to do the whole car to complete the look.

As mentioned, you if you just want the a CF hood, you can purchase a separate CF hood for that price. There are also CF overlays for the roof if you're interested.

But other than the price, a flat black Z would be cool. Would also need some new wheels.....

Yeah I know I could get a CF hood and the CF roof overlay but all
I have read is that our nismo hoods weight less than seibon cf hoods and the dry carbon cost to much, the roof overlay would just be for fun, thanks for the pic of the nismo wrapped in FL, I just think the wraps look unique, skinz in charlotte doing a full flat black wrap on a lotus elise right now, going to wait to see than decide.

their doing full raps in Korea for about 2k, from what I understand. if you have the money to spend, why not. you can always peel it off with a blow dryer if you decide you don't like it, with no harm done to the original paint....
